Dated [personal taste] cluttered [hard to clean] mattress terrible [hardly slept]. WiFi in every room, yeah right! Even sat on top of the WiFi extender it was more miss than hit if it would work, not up to the job! OH upon arriving for breakfast in the empty room being told we can't sit there and asked to move! However... More

Ok for a short stay, Reasonable accommodation for the price, accepts pets, but don't expect too much. It's very much a bed and breakfast, a short walk to the beach but a steep climb down to it. Plenty of local shops if you like that sort of thing.

I stayed for one night and was given a friendly welcome. The location is handy for a variety of restaurants and pubs in Shanklin, yet manages to be very quiet. The room had everything I needed and a few thoughtful extras, the wecome was good, the breakfast was good and, most importantly, I got a good night's sleep. The price... More

The room I had was a single ,it was small but that wasn,t a problem as there was a very nice lounge The owner told me the room had a power shower and I thought that doesn't look very powerful (Wrong ) it was brilliant .Mick the owner was very nice and he cooked a mean poached eggs on toast... This room was picked for the location as my in laws live down the road and it was not too far away from Shanklin train station. It is in easy waking distance of both the sea front and old shanklin. Upon arrival I was shown to my room to which was due to be a single as I was travelling... More

Very convenient location, just a stones throw throw away from the town center and very close to the beach. Hotel staff were very courteous and helpful and rooms were decent. Would recommend to anyone looking to stay in shanklin.

We took two rooms; for ourselves and the children. Both rooms were ensure and clean and tidy, although the twin room had a better shower so we all ended up using that as the shower in the double really wasn't up to much. The building is very pleasant and well looked after, maybe dated decor but that didn't bother us... More

We stayed here for one night. The furnishings were quite old fashioned, but there was free parking out the front, Mick was an excellent host and it was ideally located - about a 5 minute walk to both the town and the beach, which was really nice!
