We first stayed here 3 years ago and find little has changed. Our room was clean and quite large , but having again paid four figures for a weeks holiday we were disappointed with the ageing furnishings. the bedside cabinets and dressing table were quite small and dated. The settee was in fact a bed-settee with sagging cushions and was... More

Arrived at the Palace on Sunday morning early as Torbay half marathon started at 9am. A warm welcome on arrival. Requested a tray of tea and this arrived promptly to our table with luxury biscuits. Managed to book a table in the restaurant for lunch with no problems as we knew it was short notice, the 3 course lunch was... More

We stayed here this weekend and had a great time. The staff in the restaurant could not do enough for you and were really lovely to my daughter (9 years old). Myself and my partner felt extremely young as I think the average age of patrons is around 70 but that didn't worry us at all. The magician was good... More

Dear Readers, I would like to begin my reply by offering my apologies to RDeLawn as they clearly didn't enjoy their stay with us. Room 23 is one of my favourite rooms in the hotel, it is very spacious with beautiful garden and sea views. We only have one room with a balcony and it is usually specifically requested far... More

If you wish to stay in a care home by the sea, then this is the place. Elderly people everywhere, zimmer frames, walking sticks, trundles, and the front desk packed up with mobility scooters. The corridor on the ground floor to the two rooms, smells of urine. That’s no surprise given most of the people there were 65+ Right I... More

Wow, what can I say about this incredibly rude review? I would like to begin by saying how grateful we are for the retired guests who choose to spend their money and time coming to Torbay at all different times of the year on holiday. If it weren't for these guest, we, along with most other UK seaside hotels would... More

We visited this hotel for a 3 day break and yes it was ok apart from us not being able to open one of the windows and being told on 2 occasions that nothing could be done about it. Fantastic hotel with excellent obliging staff in all areas. Food amazing we were spoilt for choice every evening. The room we had with a lovely sea view was spotless although perhaps a little tired. The only disappointment was the entertainment although of course that is a personal view.
