The room was clean and tidy. Excellent shower and useful lights around the mirror for hair and make up. The room was quite warm though due to the lack of air conditioning. A fan had been put in the room which was fine for when we were sleeping but not great when we were getting ready as the bathroom made... More

We used this hotel while on a trip with my kids to nearby diggerland. The hotel was perfect for our needs and location. The adjoining resturant and soft play within the Brewers fair was excellent. Thought the choice of good was great, my kids thought their 4 course breakfast was amazing....so did i as kids eat free!! The staff wete... More

Great hotel, fab rooms following refurbishment but average room temperature over a two day stay was 28 degrees too hot for a good night sleep as per premier Inn guarantee. Oscillator fans provided make no difference even when we were provided with an extra fan. Staff must be fed up answering the same question and is no way their issue to... More

Spent two nights in very comfortable room and ate evening meal in restaurant - service everywhere was first class. Would definitely use again. Very handy for motorway/road links within County Durham and within walking distance to Arnison shopping centre where Costa got my custom for breakfast...porridge, honey and latte. What more could make a great weekend?

Once again stayed at this Hotel when visiting relatives in the North East. It is our first choice of the Premier Inns available in Durham. It is handy for the shops at the Arniston Centre, a 5-7 minutes walk away and there are two excellent restaurants/pubs about 5 minutes or so in a car- the Red Lion at Plawsworth and... More

Booked a room for one night stay with my daughter prior to her hospital visit. On arrival we were met at reception by Cate who was lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The room was up to usual Premier Inn standards (ie clean, tidy and well appointed). I'd read other reviews commenting negatively on the room temperature however even... More

Easy to book in on line. Checked in on line before hand, so literally took 3minutes to check in on arrival. We had a family room, with our 2 teenage sons. Good size double bed for us and the lads had a good single bed each. Room was very clean, tidy and modern. Good T.V , coffee making etc. Brewers... More

We stayed as a family for two nights. It was quiet and well sound proofed. But there was no way to reduce the temperature in the room. The thermostat doesn't do anything and when I asked the reception how to get cool air coming through the heater/cooler, he said you can't, in any room. It beats me why an upgraded... More

We stayed here in the Durham University Graduation period where it is impossible to get a hotel so Premier Inn took the opportunity to charge far more than the facilities justify. But for what they normally charge, this is a nice hotel for a night or two. Breakfast is good.

Agree entirely with the review of September 2015. These rooms are quite new but whoever designed this place haven't a clue or aren't interested. Early July and the room is stiflingly hot and airless. You cannot open the window more than 3 inches ( and you are asked not to break the restricting mechanism, so you know from this some... More
