Lovely warm welcome and very helpful advice on arrival. As you enter, you immediately take in the quaint/twee feel of the Townhouse. Decor not to my liking but different! Locationally perfect for town/uni/station! Walk out the door and everything is within 15 minutes. Next to The Old Elm Tree pub - dropped in for pre dinner drink- great little pub...

Excellent breakfast at pancake cafe, room was okay - curtain to bathroom offered little privacy and the pub next door was a little noisy, but these were minor points. The proprietor was very welcoming.

I went here with friends for you guessed it pancakes. Food was lovely bacon was too fatty for my taste but I know many people like it this way. Had a chocolate float, which was tasty. It was definitely a good choice, good staff, would definitely return...

Comfortable beds and welcoming hosts made this stay so worthwhile. I would definitely consider again next time in Durham. We decided to make the most of the weekend having spent the evening in Bishop Auckland watching the outdoor spectacle Kynren. The guesthouse is well-situated within half hour of the venue and on street parking was hassle free on Sunday without...

Stayed here for the second time, this time bringing my newborn baby. What a fantastic place, great people who were very accommodating and helpful with lots of information and very happy to help with our little one while we had breakfast. They have a lovely pancake cafe next door and while I was apprehensive about the bacon & maple syrup...

We stayed for one night in the Georgian Town House on our anniversary weekend in Durham. On arrival the owners provide parking permits which allows you to park on the street, and generally they just can't do enough for you. We found all 3 members of staff we saw during the course of our stay to be very friendly and...

This was a great stay! The B&B was quirky showing a lot of personality! Slept well even though you could hear the pub as a few earlier reviews state this didn't bother us as we'd been that busy our heads hit the pillow and we were out for the count. In a brilliant location which was easy to find and...

Stayed here 24-26 July. Lovely quirky B&B great rooms clean and tidy.5 mins walk from centre so easy access to Cathedral and Castle etc. Only downside very noisy due to pub opposite and cobbled streets but if you do your research you know in advance so didn't spoil it for us. Great breakfast and big shout out to the lovely...

Travelodge seriously let us down. Zoe at The Georgian Town House was absolutely fantastic and sorted us out when we were left stranded by Travelodge. We go to Durham every year. We will never go to Travelodge again. We have already booked into The Georgian Town House for next year. Lovely B&B and special staff.
