My mum and I had a lovely weekend break here and were warmly welcomed by the owners, who were very helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious and the location was great. I would book here again and recommend to anyone else.

Lovely stay at The Victorian Town House. Quiet, peaceful location and only a 10 minute walk into the centre of things. We stayed in Beaumont which is a lovely, spacious and very comfortable room. Andy & Gill were fabulous hosts who made us very welcome.

This is our 3rd visit to The Victorian Townhouse as we visit the area often. This place has a typical period feel and us quite spacious, especially the Broughton room which we always request. The owners Gill and Andy are very hospitable and uber helpful, e.g. Andy kindly provided some hand tools to help us alter the wheelchair we had... More

This B&B is run by Andy and Jill who have created an elegant small oasis in the centre of Durham. The rooms are wonderfully stylish and very well maintained and the breakfast is extremely good. Location is central and convenient, especially if you using the train station. I was lucky to use the one car park space but I would... More

This B&B is an easy walk from downtown Durham and is situated on a quiet street. I believe they only have 3 or 4 rooms, so Jill & Andy are able to give each guest personal attention. We had a huge bedroom with a very modern bathroom. Andy had all kinds of materials about local attractions and was happy to... More

My wife wanted to visit Durham on our journey from Edinburgh to London, as her great-great grandfather had been the local blacksmith before he emigrated to Australia. I picked the Townhouse because of its excellent Tripadvisor reviews, and wasn't disappointed. We spent 3 nights in the Beaumont Room, it was quiet, spacious, comfortable and delightfully decorated. We are fortunate to... More

We stayed for one night in the Beaumont Room -- it was HUGE and lovely! We were offered tea when we arrived. The location was very good .... just about a 10 minute walk into town. The room was very dark at night, which I loved, and quite quiet. Would absolutely recommend this lovely B&B!
