Our first stay and we will be back!. The room was perfect for us with a comfortable queen bed and all the necessary amenities. Jill and Andy were gracious hosts and provided us an excellent breakfast each day. I was able to have fresh fruit and yogurt each day as an alternative to traditional breakfasts. As we had booked well...

With a hungry son at University to visit, where better to stay for a hassle free weekend in Durham than at The Victorian Town House with Andy & Jill. Standards were at their usual high level throughout and a it is only a short walk (10 mins) into town. A few degrees colder than Chepstow adds to the atmosphere when...

I shared the family room with two friends - ample room for three adults, and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious - to be honest, we were spoilt for choice! An extremely lovely stay at...

The Victorian Town House is well situated to the lovely Durham city center with easy access (by foot) to the train station. Jill and Andy are gracious hosts and anxious to meet their guests needs. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable and our en suite bathroom was newly updated. The breakfast choices were excellent and freshly prepared to order....

After receiving a warm welcome, I was shown my cosy and extremely comfortable room and shower room complete with toiletries and a soft, fluffy dressing gown. The breakfasts were plentiful, delicious and freshly prepared with excellent attention to my needs as a vegan. I would stay here again and recommend The Victorian Townhouse.

Stayed here to visit my daughter at Durham. Great place. Friendly with a fab breakfast - salmon, kippers, Bacon you name it. Short walk into city centre and much helpful information to hand. Parking available.

A lovely hotel close to everything Durham has to offer. Andy and Jill could not have made us feel more welcome, bringing us tea and cake when we arrived. Comfortable and well decorated room - and very good breakfasts! I would certainly stay here again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
