The location is excellent. The quality of service is second to none. Our every need was catered for. Nothing was too much trouble. Jill and Andy are a lovely couple. It felt as if you were staying with friends, which is a considerable achievement. The on site parking,so near to Durham town centre, was a bonus. Jill and Andy have...

only stayed one night due to lack of availability for the whole weekend. The location is perfect - a 5 minute walk from the centre but in a quiet area. Very tasteful rooms, nice hosts and a great breakfast

My first trip to Durham was wonderful, despite the atrocious weather which made the warm welcome from Jill and Andy even more appreciated! I shared the family room with two friends - ample room for three adults, and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious - to be honest, we were spoilt for choice! An extremely lovely stay at...

After receiving a warm welcome, I was shown my cosy and extremely comfortable room and shower room complete with toiletries and a soft, fluffy dressing gown. The breakfasts were plentiful, delicious and freshly prepared with excellent attention to my needs as a vegan. I would stay here again and recommend The Victorian Townhouse.
