It was a shame that you both had your Christmas spoiled, but it’s nice to know that we were able to help and you’re both most welcome. Hopefully we may see you again in the future when you’ll have time to explore and enjoy North Devon. Thanks so much for writing your review. Take care.

This is a beautiful B&B and very close to the town. The rooms are very clean and spacious. You are made to feel very welcome and have freedom to come and go as you please. Breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend to all.

We stayed Tuesday - Thursday in order to visit my sister in Barnstaple. Bryan and Sandy were as brilliant as ever, welcoming us to their home. Delicious cake both afternoons and the usual excellent standard of breakfast each morning. If you need somewhere to stay in Barnstaple -look no further. Will be back in February

I spent one evening at The Old Vicarage. It is a very quick journey from Barnstaple station and easy to find. I was very warmly greeted by Sandy and Bryan. My room was so comfortable and homely. Delicious West Country cooked breakfast. I have booked to come back in January! Thank you.

Thank you so much for your review Julia, we look forward to seeing you again in January. The course you are on sounded so interesting; our conversation at breakfast took me back to a previous life, in a good way! Have a great Christmas.

Extremely clean, modern rooms and bathrooms. Very homely. Friendly and caring hosts that can't do enough for you, even offered to tumble dry our wet work clothes. Unfortunately didn't get chance to try breakfast as we were up and out very early, but the daily home baked cake in the room at the end of a long day sure made...

Have just spent 4 nights at the best bed and breakfast we've stayed at and would not hesitate to recommend it. Room 1, overlooking the large garden, was spacious with a comfortable bed, tastefully decorated and had a generously sized en suite. The owners are nice people, friendly and helpful but also unobtrusive. The freshly made home made cakes which...

Thank you for your kind review. You certainly had a good day weather wise for the wedding you attended at Saunton Sands Hotel on the Saturday. Sandi was kept on her toes during the time you were here as one of the other guests (staying for a week) was both gluten and dairy free, so a different cake each day...

This was our second visit and it was as memorable as our first. This time we stayed in Room 3 which was tastefully decorated and had a fabulous bathroom with a lovely large shower. Yet again Sandi's cakes were absolutely delicious as was the cooked breakfast. Bryan and Sandi are the perfect hosts - very interested in their guests but...

It was great to see you and your mum again; we’ve had a great year for returning guests without a single week going by when the breakfast room doesn’t have at least one person in who has stayed before. Hopefully your final day shopping up at Atlantic Village in Bideford went well, after having exhausted Barnstaple and Ilfracombe on the...

Shared the suit with two friends while travelling with work. Brilliantly looked after, with lovely breakfast, amazing cake and tea. The room was great: really comfy beds, great shower, really clean and tidy, good wifi and nice big velux windows. The hosts are lovely too! Great advice for local walks and beaches! A little slice of heaven.

Stayed for four nights. My room was spacious, comfortable and clean. I was made to feel very welcome by Sandi and Bryan. My veggie breakfast was delicious and the daily portion of cake was a treat, Sandi should be awarded the "Paul Hollywood handshake". Would certainly stay again. Thank you.

This was our second stay in the Old Vicarage and we were not disappointed. The room was delightful-calming and tastefully decorated. Everything was spotless. And Sandi's cakes, provided each afternoon in the room are delicious. As are the copious breakfasts. We would recommend this B&B without hesitation and hope that we will be able to return one day.

It was very nice to have you to stay again Linda and to hear about all your travelling – the price of the Isle of Wight ferry was a real shock-. We trust your onward journey was safe and uneventful.
