Just returned from a two day break. This was our first time at The Old Vicarage and we found the accommodation immaculately presented with excellent finishing touches. Fantastic location with beautiful gardens and plenty of parking, ideal location for a short walk into a busy town or equally for a cycle/jog/walk on the Tarka Trail. We were in room number... More

Thank you Jacqueline, it was great to meet you both and we’re pleased you enjoyed your stay. You certainly packed a lot in to your short time here, though there is still much more of North Devon for you to explore on your next visit. Take care and we look forward to seeing you again. More

My husband, son and I stayed in a family suite here for four nights last week. Immaculate rooms, superb breakfast (of which you can choose your own combination of cooked items, including smoked salmon!), scrummy home made cakes every day and luxury touches in every room, even including luxury toilet roll! The garden is beautiful too and the hosts are... More

Thanks for your review Sharon; it was great to meet you and your family. Sorry the weather wasn’t as good as it could have been for your sunset hunt, though one out of four probably wasn’t too bad and Josh got to witness the speed of the tide on more than one occasion. We hope that Friday’s event went as... More

Stayed here for just one night in the two bedroom suite with an old school pal for a couple of days' walking. Each of the two bedrooms had tea & coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV - one room had a double and the other twin beds. Parked car early on first day and met Brian who gave... More

This is without date the best B & B we have stayed in. THe rooms are delightful, everything is so elegant and spotlessly clean, break superb and Sandi and Bryan so helpful and friendly. We would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a quiet break with excellent service.

Thank you for your kind review; we are humbled by your title. It was nice to have your party staying and walking the complete northern loop of the Tarka Trail. Having done it ourselves we feel it must rank as one of the most varied walks in the UK for all the different countryside it passes through. We look forward... More

Modern, clean comfortable rooms in an old vicarage with lovely gardens which the residents can use. Very friendly and helpful owner. Excellent breakfast, very fresh with gluten free options if required. A short walk to the town but on a quiet side street.

We’re pleased you found our B&B clean and comfortable Yorkiegirl and thank you for posting a nice review. Sandi met the challenge of a different gluten free cake every day for a week recently, and was pleased one day when a non-gluten free guest asked for the recipe. We hope that the rest of your walk around the Tarka Trail... More

Very clean and beautifully decorated B&B. Excellent breakfast served by friendly hosts. Easy walk into the town centre for a good range of food. Stayed for two nights. Off street parking very useful Given how close it is to the centre Of town. Lovely garden.

The Old Vicarage was everything we could of hoped for and more; gracious hosts, comfy beds in beautifully decorated, immaculate rooms and an outstanding breakfast. The Inn was quietly situated, but so convenient, just a short stroll into town. We wish that we would have planned a longer stay to relax and enjoy all there was to offer.

We stayed for a week in May in a lovely suite at the top of the house. We received a warm welcome from Bryan on arrival, followed by coffee and cake in the large peaceful garden.
