Spent the weekend 15th & 16th July here. This place is part of the 'hub' of Bowness. Very central, very clean, great price & plenty of staff who are always able to accommodate requests. The rooms are generous, clean and the decor is great. The food is something special and not pricey especially with the portion sizes. The battered fish was... More

Had meal here hubby had the chicken curry not much chicken and what chicken there was in it was mush. I had what was supposed to be tender slices of steak on a bed of salad. Onions in salad were cut way too thick steak was tough as old boots. Hubby complained got offered free drink or complimentary sweet. Not... More

Nice welcoming pub, lots of seats. Went for an evening meal, quite a big menu, had the battered cod and chips and the other half had lasagne, both massive portions. Did have to wait 45 minutes for the food but that was probably because the football was on, worth the wait though, would definitely return if In the area again!

The Albert is a pub with rooms and this is reflected in the very fair price so close to both the town of Bowness and the ferries at Lake Windermere. The accommodation is modern and very clean with comfortable beds. We were lucky to be there in excellent hot weather and the hotel provided us with a fan. Having the... More

Came here for something to eat on Saturday night. Chose the place due to the location close to our hotel (hydro) and to be honest pub grub would have sufficed as we weren't overly hungry. Bad judgement on our part picking this place 😂. The portions are huge and although there is a lot and it was extremely busy the... More

My partner and stayed here for 2 nights in April, it was a birthday treat! The accommodation was very clean and cosy and the was bed large and very comfortable. We chose a room with a bath (room 7) which was at the back of the hotel. The view wasn't good but the room was quiet which we appreciated. I... More

If you want a drink, snack, or meal and need to take your dog, then this is the place. Great food and a wide menu choice.. 'YOU don't have to sit outside' in the cold. The staff are very dog friendly and brought dog biscuits for our dogs..Customers who prefer not to be beside pets have a vast range of... More

A bit of an oxymoron but the only negative I can think of is the the portions were too large even for us. Great service and very pleasant surroundings we'll be back. Good choice of drinks and very friendly staff and clientele.
