Visited the Albert while staying at Fellbarrow. It was busy but we still manage to find a seat sitting beside cosy open fire enjoyed a pleasant relaxing afternoon in warm Friendly atmosphere, Unfortunately we did not eat there, but know wish we had the food looked lovely, did notice potion size are large. Will definitely recommend and return next time...

We were pleasantly surprised at the warm surroundings and the good choice of menu. The food was absolutely beautiful and I would highly recommend it the food is simple and tastey and they also stock a good range of beers to accompany your meal.

Excellent food. Sunday roasts for 10 quid or a huge selection of everything else wonderful. Be prepared to wait half an hour but well worth it. The Yorkshire puds are massive. Dogs welcome and very nice staff

Went last weekend for Sunday lunch as a party of 20 plus and as it's not local for us was a little dubious about the negative reviews about the service and the "locals". What a load of rubbish! Very warm and welcoming pub, we were seated in a separate room but for 20 plus people we found it very claustrophobic...

After reading the reviews we decided to try The Albert for lunch. We did hesitate as there was a notice in the windows asking for staff, including a chef. We were so glad we went in as we had a lovely lunch and large portions. The waiter also was very friendly and professional. Thank you so much

The food here is average - it is tasty and it is ok value for money but it's not anything to rave about. The wine is not too bad for house wine, but my friend had the Malbec and it was much better than the house! For good solid pub food this is a good option in this busy area.

Spent the weekend 15th & 16th July here. This place is part of the 'hub' of Bowness. Very central, very clean, great price & plenty of staff who are always able to accommodate requests. The rooms are generous, clean and the decor is great. The food is something special and not pricey especially with the portion sizes. The battered fish was...
