Only the rather faded pool changing & locker facilities & towels supply let it down. Otherwise, the level of service, quality of food, a memorable introduction by Sommelier to a Mexican red wine and the room were superb. Our last stay was 6 years ago & they knew this!

We only stayed one night here with our 11 year old We have a nice welcome and were shown to our room on the 2nd floor after being shown the main features of the hotel Lovely room, view over the lake and felt well away from the busyness of Bowness The next morning we saw two deer in the garden...

I do not understand why this hotel has so many praises. we had so many problems from our stay and after being a loyal customer for 10 years I expected better. We only stayed because there was nowhere else to go in the area (we did check). And only booked this place because Beatrix Potter family used to live here....

Just had a lovely couple of nights at the Lindeth Howe. The accommodation, the staff and the food were all excellent, there was nothing to fault so well done to the Lindeth Howe team. Quality and price are always a tricky one and as we were fortunate enough to bag a last minute bargain we won both on both counts,...

We arrived here with the snow and left with the sun and it was simply fantastic from start to finish. Met by the lovely Mark, the restaurant food was simply the best we've had for a while - smart and clever but with flavour and texture paramount rather then simply looking pretty; the room was charming and the service gauged...

Views over LAke Windermere and a super restaurant make Lindeth Howe a lovely place to spend a weekend. We have had both summer and winter breaks there and always enjoyed the great service, the subtle decor and the ambience of the place. A short drive from Blackwell, Beatrix PotterExperience and Wordsworth's Dove Cottage, the hotel is a lovely place to...

Couples trip for my boyfriends 35th birthday. Stayed 1 night. Lovely welcome, tour of the hotel on arrival. The hotel itself is gorgeous, our room was fully refurbished and felt very new. Large room, large tv, lots of wardrobe space, full length mirror (rare in smaller hotels), beautiful bathroom with lovely fluffy towels and robes, the bed was super comfy!...

If you are looking for a real treat, great service, stunning food and a very relaxed atmosphere, then you should try this place. The staff are very friendly, the food, is not only presented like a Michelin starred restaurant, but tastes fantastic too. My only criticism, which is rather petty, is that is quite limited parking, and the additional parking...

The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings about a mile walk from the town. Was disappointed with their Gluten free options. I discussed me dietry requirements before booking and was assured that they could accommodate me no problem. We ordered the cream tea with scones. The waitress looked really put out when I requested a GF scone said they would...
