11 Marina View – fantastic 2 bedroom apartment with amazing view across the marina. All the latest appliances and fantastic smart TVs. Nicely furnished inside and out with cushions supplied and stored in the utility room for balcony furniture. Washer/dryer combo made life slightly easier with baby. Onsite parking facilities were great, especially allowing 2 cars. The short walk into Bowness and surrounding areas makes this an ideal location quiet yet 10/15mins from the centre. The Boathouse restaurant offered a good selection of tasty dishes. We sat upstairs which also has a great view. We can definitely recommend for families.

We stayed at number 48 with our dog. Very happy with the apartment. Everywhere was spotless and the complimentary parcel of dishwasher tablets and tea towels etc was very handy. The apartment was very spacious and had a lovely view from the balcony. It was near the restaurant but we had no issues with noise or smells from there. We didn’t eat at the restaurant but did have takeaway pizza from there and that was tasty. It was a 10 minute walk into Bowness which was absolutely fine and safe. Really enjoyed our stay here. Why pay the same price for a pokey b&b room when you can get all the space of this apartment?

Stayed for 1 week in May 2024. Family joined us for 4 days. This is a spacious 3 bedroom house, with lounge on 1st floor with balcony & master bedroom on ground floor and two en-suite rooms on top floor. We found the house to be extremely comfortable & very well equipped. A rare thing of self catering was the large sofas and chairs for 6 people, often this can be style of substance, on a rainy evening essential to have somewhere to get comfy and watch a movie. Lovely big table to dine and play games. Only minor things were pillows, but personal taste I suppose, had to pop out to buy a soft one, the floors were a bit creaky, wine cooler didn’t cool, parking space very short…… don’t let these things put you off! Would have like to use patio but wooden furniture really needed a pressure wash. Lovely dog walk loop to Cockshott Point, very peaceful in the mornings. Very well situated. A small welcome basket would have been nice, maybe I have been spoilt in other rentals. The £300 security deposit phone call was a bit of a shock 2 days prior to travel!!! Stayed in several decent places in Lakes & never been asked for this, surely the owners have insurance built into their rental cost? A little bit insulting. Would we go again….. possibly 👍🏼

We stayed in apartment 32 this time around at Windermere Marina Village. It is very tired and could do with maintenance and updating. The apartment was clean and tidy with all equipment you need but some of the issues definitely need addressing. There are 2 bedrooms. The double has a sleigh bed which means if you are over 5’ 10” tall it’s very uncomfortable in length. The double room also has no dressing table ( no room) so consequently the tv is actually in the other bedroom that has single beds. Why the tv could not be mounted on the wall in the double room is beyond me. There is also no coffee table in the lounge to put drinks on. The bathroom has no surface near the sink to store toiletries on and nowhere to hang the hand towel other than on the heated radiator which is the other side of the basin and toilet. On the plus side Windermere Marina Village is in an ideal location and the food served at The Boathouse restaurant is very good indeed.

Just returned from 4 nights in apartment 43 at the Windermere Marina Village with family of 6 adults, 3 children and a 3 month old. Absolutely fabulous apartment, very spacious and clean and exceeds the photos on the website. We had a couple of minor issues at the start but these were quickly remedied so not an issue. Lots of crockery and cutlery. The bedrooms are so spacious and especially the top floor room which was occupied by our 10 year old Granddaughter who loved it. A nice easy off road, 20 minute lakeside walk into Bowness every day to enjoy a lake cruise and to catch the open top bus so car not necessary every day. Would highly recommend this apartment and hope to return in the future.

We had 4 nights at Windermere Marina Village, staying in Windward Townhouse 15, a 3 storey house with lovely views over the Marina, and right next to a small beach with picnic tables and barbecue area and a jetty. The house itself was spotlessly clean, with everything you need provided for your stay. It had superb views from all rooms, and 2 balconies, one off the ground floor bedroom and one off the kitchen, both with patio furniture. The main bedroom on the top floor has windows on 3 sides, very airy and spacious, although because of this there are no wardrobes in the room, but that didn’t bother us. It’s extremely peaceful and quiet both during the day and at night. The rooms in the house are all large and bright with patio doors and a Juliet balcony off the living room. One added bonus was that although the keys were not available til 4pm, you can check in earlier and leave your car there, plenty of parking space. It was a lovely (unlit) lakeside walk into the centre of Bowness, just cut through the public car park at Ferry Nab. You can also walk along the main road, but it’s also partly unlit on a night so is very dark, we made sure to get back in daylight. We had a lovely stay here and can highly recommend both the site and the house, and would definitely stay again.

We decided on a break over Christmas and despite currently Covid restrictions we managed to stay a week. We we're warmly welcomed by reception staff who explained what and were we are staying. We stayed in apartment 47 a two bedroom apartment, both bedrooms are on suite and beds and massive and comfortable. The living room includes the kitchen and is a large size with a dining table. The appartment overlooks the Marina and is ideally located for Windermere lake, Bowness is a ten minute walk away. Took us a while to get the heating to work satisfactory due to the location of the thermostat and a radiator located nearby, my tip turn it up high. Ideally located to tour the lakes, we would certainly like to return one the Covid restrictions are lifted.
