Arriving there was no one to greet us. We waited 20 mins before someone showed up for us to check in. Went to room which was okay, clean, but very creaky and noisy and old. We weren't that bothered as it was just a place for us to sleep overnight. Anyhow we soon changed our mind between midnight and 4am... More

This hotel was hard to find, tucked in the backstreet the front door looked more like a tradesman's entrance and the overall impression was depressed and tired. Our room was poorly decorated and dated with no shower and a stained carpet. In fairness the beds were comfortable and clean and although it felt more like an eighties B&B the breakfast... More

£55.00 a night Clean , spacious room Small tv, shower was just about passable , not very powerful ... Breakfast was nice We did laugh when the orange juice was served as a starter But overall the full English was well cooked , presentable and tasty. It would be fair to say the hotel is dated and looks like something... More

Our room fronted Maiden Street. There is a late night (11pm-4am) nightclub a few doors down. The noise from the Club and its customers was horrendous !! Impossible to sleep until it calmed down at about 4.30am ! Room was clean but no shower and no wifi available anywhere. Food was plentiful but rather poor quality. Staff were pleasant.

Like my title says this is a back street hotel to get to the Central Hotel reception you have to go though the Fairhaven hotel which Is on the promenade our coach driver had three attempt at finding a place to stop so he could unload our cases, having said all that the hotel was not as bad as we... Recently visited Hotel Central with a party from South Wales. Overall the hotel was clean a comfortable and the staff very pleasant although there was some language difficulty with them all. Our main gripe was about the food. Some meals were edible (just) but on the last evening we were served with what was supposed to be roast beef. Strangely... More

We stayed in room facing the nightclub, it was very noisy for whole night! Car park in front of the hotel - in the night some club guests damaged our car! not very safe area. Rooms decos ~90s but clean. Stuff friendly and helpful. Breakfast, not very nice, tinned tomatoes and cold egg. I wouldn't stay there any more.

Good value for money. Room 8 was a double en-suit, warm, clean and offered a pleasant breakfast the next morning. Staff were friendly and helpful. Permit for parking which was useful. Would stay again.

Hotel was reached through Fairhaven hotel! Room 10 was absolutely disgusting, grotty blanket on bed, furniture fit for firewood, no double glazing, opposite nightclub ( noise unbearable all through night till 4.30am), room adjoined bar and entertainment room. Washbasin on wall in room. Bath and loo space totally inadequate. Dining room squashed and gloomy. Staff unhelpful, two waiting staff to... More

Stayed for two nights, hotel is a bit dated but it's clean. Staff are friendly and helpful. It is near a night club so can be a bit noisy but it didn't bother us. For a cheap stay away you can't really go wrong.
