We are fortunate to travel quite a bit and I can honestly say this is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. A beautiful house, tastefully decorated with incredible views and everything in walking distance. Lovely warm welcome, beautiful flowers in the room and a slab of homemade cake! Breakfast was delicious - top quality produce cooked fresh with plenty of hot and cold drinks. We never felt rushed and loved the mix of privacy with great conversation, if wanted. Peter and Anna are impeccable hosts. Unfortunately my partner became ill whilst we were there and taken into hospital. The kindness shown to me was like being with old friends. Thank you both we can’t wait to come back! Emma and Kerry x

We have stayed at Old Harbour View B&B for 5 nights and we can honestly say this is the nicest cleanest and friendliest place we have ever stayed. Both Peter and Anna are excellent hosts. Anna’s cakes are amazing and Peters breakfasts outstanding. We tried many different things from kippers to the full English which neither of us could finish. Peter is also a good guide of the area and a very good conversationalist. When we come back to Weymouth we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again “

We had the harbour view room for 3 nights wished it was more. Room is small but beautifully appointed and what a view! Breakfast is excellent and if you are lucky you just might get some freshly baked cakes and very nice they are too. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Would definitely recommend.

What ever my revue Peter and Anna along with Strawberry made it all, it could have been a cardboard box and it would have been enjoyable. The first thing to say reading other reviews, this is a small town house, brilliantly designed interior making use of the space available. Directly at the side of the harbour within a few minutes walk of restaurants and the town. We had the room at the rear which yes is small along with the bathroom, I am 18st so it was tight but once in the shower was really nice (yes a grab rail would be most helpfull), when explained the choice was a shared bathroom or small en suits then yes their decision was the right one to go small en suit. The quality of the towels and bedding the friendly service along with Peter's breakfast and Anna's on going supply of cakes (ha!!ha!!) was top class. Car parking was excellent as we were provided with a pass to place on the dashboard and parked directly outside through out our 5 night stay. There is no doubt we will be back for more chats with Peter and hugs off Anna and fuss with Strawberry the lovely Spaniel, these three were made for each other.

This is a beautifully appointed property with very welcoming hosts. The location couldn’t really be better in a picturesque part of Weymouth by the Old Harbour. It’s within easy reach of shops pubs and restaurants and you get a parking permit for parking nearby which is really helpful. The hosts Pete and Anna are very helpful with suggestions as to where to eat or places to go, and are happy to make bookings for you. I’d recommend it just for a one or two day stay as the rooms are bijou to say the least ( ours was the room at the back, and there are only two rooms for guests) the twin beds pushed together as a double were very comfy with lovely linen. But the room is tiny and a standard double bed might be a better idea. There’s very little storage space ie some hanging space about a foot wide and some space under a shelving unit where the tv sits, but maybe for one or two nights this isn’t too much of a problem. You have to perform contortions to get out of the ( very good ) shower. I’d recommend the owners install a grab rail to obviate any danger of slipping on the steps from the shower. Another reviewer has said the ensuite is unacceptably tiny and I think I’d probably agree with this. It is important to know that this is not a property for people with mobility issues due to steep stairs to the top of the house and the limited access to the shower in the back room. I can’t speak for the access to the shower in the other room. We enjoyed breakfast, there was plenty of choice including good local fish, but you might want to check the size of what you order as our fellow guests were bit overwhelmed by quantity of the full English..however, our smoked haddock and poached eggs and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon hit the spot. I was though disappointed that decaf tea or coffee weren’t on offer. Overall I’d say the location and ambience of this place win the day but you’d have to be prepared to be a bit disappointed with the size of the room at the back, which is the one we had. One last thought for our hosts Although it was thoughtful to replace our towels after the first day I think in these days of thinking about our planet it might be a good idea to do what many hotels do now, which is to leave it up to the guests to request this and not do it automatically.
