The sunday lunch here is a real treat - mouth watering describes it best! In the post-lockdown period the location and venue proved relaxing and most enjoyable. The food and preparation as well as the service were of the highest quality but in an unfussy way. A must for all even if you have to travel to get there!

Douneside House is an exemplar of the very best of hospitality on Royal Deeside. We were warmly greeted on arrival and enjoyed drinks overlooking the wonderful gardens before sitting down to a perfect meal. The service was excellent from the staff who attended us and the meal itself was superb. A truly wonderful experience, Douneside is well worth its 3 AA Rosettes and it must surely be only a matter of time before a Michelin star is given?

Really impressed with the work that has gone into Douneside since a visit several years ago. Amazing dinner served in conservatory, friendly and helpful staff throughout and enjoyed exploring gardens plus croquet!

Dear Tom, Many thanks for your review. It is fantastic to hear that you were impressed with the changes - we've changed quite a bit of the interiors over the last few years - we are continually striving to enhance our guest's experience. Glad to hear you had the opportunity to enjoy a game of croquet in the grounds too! Our thanks again and we'll hope to welcome you back for a third visit. Kind regards, The team at Douneside

Cannot write a review that sums up how amazing our stay was. The whole house and grounds are stunning. The staff are so friendly, attentive and polite. The bartender was brilliant (young man with longish hair). Our evening meal was out of this world and our interaction with the sommelier was wonderful. The pool facilities are sparkling. What an absolute treat. Well worth a stay at Douneside House. Could fault nothing and was so sad to go home. Thank you.

Your review really has made our day. In fact, it is currently on display in our kitchen for all of our team to see, including Leon our Bar Supervisor (with the longish hair!) and James our Sommelier. We thank you so much for sharing and we're delighted that you thoroughly enjoyed your stay with us. We all hope to welcome you back to Douneside again soon. Kind regards, The Team at Douneside House
