Well, this YHA hostel is amazing and so close to the amenities whilst retaining the quiet serenity of a friary. My wife and two children stayed her and were lucky enough to enjoy a room with en-suite services. The room was fantastic and the children love the bunk beds. the self catering area is large and a great place to... More

The end of a 210 mile cycle ride. The hostel is well situated just behind the Minster and I think the oldest hostel in the UK. We had a private en suite room which looked onto part of the garden and the Minster. A very interesting medieval building, with a friendly greeting from the Warden. The beds, bunk type were comfy and... More

I stayed there for one night. I check in early in the morning and told them I will be back around midnight. When I return at night, they have been very kind to put me in a empty dorm so that I do not disturb other people when I am back at night. Very comfortable bed, the dorm are very... More

I stayed here during a five day cycle trip. Very warm welcome on arrival and a secure place to lock up my bike. Very clean rooms and a great shower. Usual kitchen facilities and lovely gardens to relax in. Situated next to the Minster and only 5 minutes walk to the town centre.

You don't need WiFi when you are staying in a Treasure of a building. Just sit in the dining room/kitchen and stare at the stone walls and the mullioned windows and enjoy the privilege of getting to spend a night or two in such a wonderful historic building.

Stayed here in early March 2016 with a group of friends/colleagues. We hired the entire building exclusively for two nights and actually held a mini conference there. My friends and I are members of the Ghostfinder Paranormal Society and carried out a professional paranormal investigation over the two nights. The building is very comfortable, large and full of character. There... More

Lovely building in a quiet setting close to the Minster. The manager was very welcoming and the room was clean and tidy. Would definitely visit again. The Minster has a medieval man powered crane that was used to build the church. It's in the tower and can be seen on guided tours.

I used to live in Beverley and always wondered what this building was used for and on a visit back to Beverley found out it was now a YHA hostel. The hostel was booked out for two groups and I could only stay for one night, but it was worth it! Such a lovely old building within walking distance from... More

I live in Beverley so don't need to stay here but love the look of the building and grounds from the outside and have peered in through the window. When I learned of the open day I was keen to look around. I was impressed by the character and charm of both the inside and garden. There is lots of... More
