Popped in for a bite and was not disappointed, being a coeliac I was remembered. The food was as good as my last visit, the establishment charmed by an open fire. We will go again another day, bought some fresh vegetables in the market.

Stayed for a couple of nights with friends for a trip to the races. Made very welcome on check-in. Secure off-street parking available. En-suite rooms are across a courtyard, so away from the hustle and bustle of the pub. Rooms are fresh and clean with spotless bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent. Ideally situated in the centre of Beverley and all it... More

I visited the Dog & Duck whilst on a day out to Beverly. I didn't stay there overnight, but I sat in the pub and had a few drinks. It was a pleasant pint and the locals seemed very friendly. The pub itself is beautiful and reminds me of a little village pub. I would certainly go there again. It... More

I'm a bit fussy about my ale. After trawling through most of the Beverley pubs over a 3 day period, this was the best! Bar staff was somewhat lacklustre but did the job and the open fire was a bonus on the cold nights we visited.

The Dog & Duck Inn is a traditional pub serving a variety of quality beers. The landlord Mark is a very pleasant and sociable guy and along with his staff always gives everyone a great welcome. Lunchtime is always active when quality food can be ordered at sensible prices. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a traditional experience.

Called on a busy Saturday....lovely log fire burning...friendly staff...excellent value meals...on a little side street but worth looking for...A steady stream of regulars as well as visitors...We had main meals but on looking round lots seemed to be ordering the sandwiches and sides of chips...can't go wrong for the price..

I went to visit friends and was looking for a place to sleep for a couple of nights. I needed it to be reasonable, clean and close to the town centre and the Dog & Duck Inn ticked all these boxes! The rooms are situated in a separate building behind the pub, so I didn't experience any noise issues. Breakfast... More

Stayed one night for visit to Beverley racecourse. I liked the rooms in the courtyard (and parking outside your room is very useful). Room comfortable, breakfast very good, beers great, landlord friendly and helpful (and incredibly hard-working). Excellent base for exploring Beverley. Only two negatives - sound insulation in the rooms is not great, so I could hear the folk... More
