stayed for an overnight business trip, had a single room, which was cold at first however the manager kindly offered to put the heating on for me, if i have to say a negative the walls were very thin and i heard all the conversations, and everything else,, made by the other guests, for some reason the single bed had... We stayed here for 4 nights recently, 3 in a double room and 1 in a twin. I preferred the twin as it was a lot more roomy than the double. Lots of hot water and nice and clean The location cannot be faulted. Parking is free but a bit cramped. My only real quibble is there was only one... More

I rang at about 10 past 7 last night to see if they had a double room available for the same night! All very last minute, we would be arriving late, about 10.15pm approx when I dropped off my husband to check in, then I traveled on to Leven to drop off my niece before returning at around 11pm. The... More

Been coming for years this is a friendly family run pub. Stayed the whole week rooms are simple clean and comfortable having had a recent revamp and breakfast is spot on. Popped in for a bite and was not disappointed, being a coeliac I was remembered. The food was as good as my last visit, the establishment charmed by an open fire. We will go again another day, bought some fresh vegetables in the market.

Stayed for a couple of nights with friends for a trip to the races. Made very welcome on check-in. Secure off-street parking available. En-suite rooms are across a courtyard, so away from the hustle and bustle of the pub. Rooms are fresh and clean with spotless bathrooms. Breakfast was excellent. Ideally situated in the centre of Beverley and all it... More

I visited the Dog & Duck whilst on a day out to Beverly. I didn't stay there overnight, but I sat in the pub and had a few drinks. It was a pleasant pint and the locals seemed very friendly. The pub itself is beautiful and reminds me of a little village pub. I would certainly go there again. It... More

I'm a bit fussy about my ale. After trawling through most of the Beverley pubs over a 3 day period, this was the best! Bar staff was somewhat lacklustre but did the job and the open fire was a bonus on the cold nights we visited.

The Dog & Duck Inn is a traditional pub serving a variety of quality beers. The landlord Mark is a very pleasant and sociable guy and along with his staff always gives everyone a great welcome. Lunchtime is always active when quality food can be ordered at sensible prices. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a traditional experience.
