First stay at a Best Western Hotel and won't be the last. Booked a winter deal break. Got a nice sized room with a bigger than double bed. It had antique/vintage brown furniture, including a large carved headboard. Large bathroom with shower and towel heater. Also a little area at the side if one is reading and the other watches...

Just spent three days at the Bell, doing a little sightseeing in e/Yorkshire. Although not a great fan of Best Western Hotels this one is different. Arriving very early for our booking we were treated with smiles and a "anything to help" attitude. The hotel is a labyrinth of quaint rooms all decorated with period fixtures and fittings, blink and...

Popped in for lunch last week and went in through the back car park, walking through what seemed like a rabbit burrow of rooms into the bar where we found a seat. We ordered sandwiches as we were not hungry enough for a hot meal. The system for ordering and serving food reminded me of school dinners. The building is set...

Rooms were fine...dated and quaint...which is fine...but not the cleanest. Breakfast...terrible. Porridge needed chewing (and a good imagination). When I spoke to one of the staff she was dismissive and rude. Totally un accommodating . Not a great place.

From arriving at check in the attitude of the receptionist was appalling, she didn't even look up as she was busy doing the till, which was ok, but when she finally finished that she still didn't look up & very curtly said "Right, Name" A simple Good Afternoon can I help you would have been nice. Then my husband tried...

My partner and I was working in the area and booked for an overnight stay. Being the cautious traveller I'am, I booked a 'chain' brand hotel only to discover it was far too different and unique to be considered such, however was delightful. Yes its chintzy, yes it has antiques everywhere and yes has the feeling of being very independently...

Thank you for taking the time to leave these lovely comments, its clear to see that you have enjoyed your stay. Its nice when people come to the hotel and can see the positives in what it is. Like you say yes the building is old, and chintzy, with antiques everywhere, but we take pride in what we do and...

A delightful character hotel in Driffield with wonderful caring staff. The food was excellent, both evening meal and breakfast served in rooms of character and it was great to be able to use leisure facilities onsite. Our bedroom had a period furnished sitting room reached by a few narrow steps down which was charming and a surprise!

Walking around Driffield we popped into the Bell in for Scone and Coffee before 11am and very good they are and well worth a visit. The Lunch Menu was on the table and had a very good selection to choose from and we will make sure we try it next time, there is a well stocked bar and plenty of...

I had to Visit York on Business, but did not want the bustle of a noisy City during my off time, so chose The Bell in Driffield, I am never disappointed By The Best Western Chain, the hotel was welcoming and all well appointed, the Bar and Restaurant were both excellent, I needed to print of a sensitive email, and...
