Stopped here for a well earned pint on day three of the way of the roses cycle ride from Morecombe to Bridlington. Great beer and very friendly staff and a very welcome complimentary bowl of chips. Top place thumbs up.

Second visit to the restaurant and once again could not fault. It is only a small restaurant but the hosts and food make up for this. We all had different food and the hosts explained the menu. The food was all brought together and was served and presented in a professional way. Would highly recommend but pre book because always... More

lovely quiet little inn, with excellent hospitality, comfortable rooms and well cooked food with a couple of twists. Had planned just to use it for a bed for the night, as I needed to be in the area. But saw the reviews and thought the good lady could benefit from a night away from home - and I got the... More

Super menu super atmosphere super staff. The owner is a farmer who rears his own sheep. The lamb on the menu changes regularly depending on the cuts available . It was Lamb Henry on the evening we went! Lamb is my favourite meat and this time it didn't fail to please!!!! It was tender and very very tasty!

The hotel had some favourable reviews so booked based on these. Set in a very quite village about a mile from the main road. Generous carpark next to the hotel. Greeted warmly by Zoe who showed us up to our room - which was fabulous. Good size bathroom, Hugh bed and well decorated room which was very comfortable. When we... More

We chanced upon this gem for Saturday lunch. The decor is gorgeous, the host is attentive and knowledgeable, the food is amazing and the toilets were fantastic - none of these could be bettered. 10/10 all round. There was an extensive menu, but we settled on the lamb meatballs with rice and salad as a main meal - it was also... More

Having enjoyed lunch here recently we booked for a family get together and had a fabulous meal with the benefit of a dining room all to ourselves. Ian and Zoe the owners were wonderfull hosts and did an excellent job of looking after us. Nothing was too much trouble and the food, starter , mains and puddings were delicious. Good... More

Great location. Wonderful welcome and attention throughout stay. Menu chores and food incredible. Cannot recommend black pudding and blue cheese starter enough. As for the liver abduction bacon...wow gain. Stairs are steep and narrow....but the room was worth the climb!! Best in a long time and this was one of 4 hotels this week.

Always a great meal and good time to be had here. Nothing is too much trouble for Ian and the team, and we are always made to feel welcome. Been going for years, and its a big hit with all the family. Thank you.

Me and my wife had our wedding reception at the pub on July 31st this year. Everything Zoe and Ian and their staff did for us was totally faultless. We had a roast dinner for our sit down meal followed by chocolate brownie. All our guests said it was the best roast dinner they had eaten at a pub, it... More
