Best location if you are walking the SW coast, as it is literally on the path, being at one time a coast guard station. Room was clean, modern and tidy, with everything you would expect. We were situated over the bar, which did mean we got wi-fi. They only provide wi-fi in the bar, so those rooms at the other... More

The Hartland Quay Hotel is a wonderful and welcoming hotel set in the most beautiful surroundings. The hotel is superbly run by Sarah and Donal who are both lovely and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. The hotel is homely with a warm and friendly atmosphere and all the staff make you feel extremely welcome. Thank... More

Stopped by Hartland Quay on a Saturday for a walk along the cliff and then dived into the hotel/pub for an un-planned lunch. There were 10 of us, plus two dogs which were welcomed in the bar (and, I'm glad to say, behaved impeccably!) I had the cod and chips, something I seldom order in a pub as it's not... More

Wonderful location found after a long drive down a typical Devonshire road .then you get to the toll road £2:00 .that gets you down to the Quay and hotel and covers your car parking .fair enough I guess if it's a private road. Then you get out of your car .that's really where the anti dog begins....we're a family 2... More

Location, it feels as though it is in the middle of nowhere, certainly if you arrive by foot. Friendly staff, a nice attached pub with reasonable meals. Although breakfast wasn't until about 8.15 / 8.30, it was very good (and a cold "take away" breakfast was available if an early start was needed). A had a comfortable single room, thick... More

I booked into the hotel as part of doing some of the coastal path. I arrived in pouring rain and howling winds but the sea pounding against the rocks was very impressive. Hotel and room were very clean and the linen beautiful and fresh. Had supper in the bar next door. Food was homemade and very good and the wines... More

Stayed one night out of season in the cottage belonging to the pub/hotel. In dire need of renovation. Food cheap and cheerful, average pub menu. Only ones in the bar at 8 so felt a bit like we should be leaving! Hung it out until 9 pm when barman said we could take drinks back to the room which felt... More

Here's a place that will first give you th "thrill" of the downward drive through country narrow lanes and down, down, don to the car park of the hotel itself where all you see is the Atlantic. Our room, no. 15, was part of the nineteenth century section and its sash windowpanes rattled in the full blast of a storm... More

Friendly and attentive staff serving cheap and cheerful pub grub. Nice relaxing atmosphere and great location down by the cliffs, worth making the short journey out of Hartland. Would call in here again :)

A warm welcome awaits you after you drive across Devon and down the precipitous approach! It's an old smuggling inn/custom house right on the sea's edge with fabulous sea views from some rooms, an excellent pub-cum-restaurant, plenty of parking - and the perfect base for exploring a beautiful part of the country. Tintagel, Port Isaac, Boscastle - all close -... More
