This campsite is wonderful - about 2 miles from the town and it could not be more relaxing if it tried. Easy check in process with really friendly staff (Jean in particular) - There are no "pitches" so you just pitch your tent wherever you fancy which means loads of space between you and other campers. The ponies are great... More

Really beautiful site to camp with family and friends. Pick your own spot, when its full you still have plenty of space. Lovely to have the ponies and donkeys wandering around although take notice of the wardens and keep food out of your tent. We kept ours in the car and cool boxes and had no bother. We camped at... This site needs to get the basics right and they haven't. It need good clean basic facilities and this doesn't have it. The showers are awful so water collects where you need to change so once your dry the first thing you do is put your foot In someone else water. Toilets are not much better. Sorry but I wouldn't... We've been to Roundhill quite a few times now and have thoroughly enjoyed every visit. There are walks and cycle tracks right next to the campsite and as you would expect from the New Forest, stunning views. Toilets and showers are regularly cleaned (though showers can be a bit hot sometimes, I had a long day in the sun and... More

I'd have given this site 5 stars but for lack of facilities against the cost of a night stay. Don't get me wrong the price is standard for the New Forest where you are clearly paying for the stunning location rather than the substance. But for this price other sites I've visited in (Oxon and Glos) offer so much more... More

This is the 6th time we've been in 7 years - it's always consistent. Even when it's at capacity there's lots of space. Toilet block is good, and the showers powerful but very hot (young children will probably find them too hot). It's the New Forest, so fantastic surroundings and cows/horses roaming around (keep food secure and away from them).... More

We have been coming as a family to this site before showers were installed. For the last couple of years the Caravan and Camping club have been running it. We love the fact the only facilities are the shower block, the peace and quiet is fantastic. In fact for the summer holidays it was very quiet..... . There are some... More

This is such a beautiful campsite on forest heathland right in the heart of the New Forest. Although we arrived on a busy weekend, there was plenty of space to camp and it was calm and peaceful-an added bonus is the ponies, donkeys and cattle that wander around the site-certainly 'back to nature. When we arrived we were greeted by... More

Amazing campsite in heart of New Forest . Plenty of room and despite the mixed crowd was nice and quiet by 11pm . The staff are amazing and helpful . My 7 year old attended a ranger drop in and learnt all sorts of things about the native wildlife . The toilets and showers are good frequently cleaned and always... More

Absolutely beautiful campsite. It was the quietest site I have ever been to, in spite of school holidays and many families who were all silent by 10.30. It was suitable for couples as well as families with children, who can monopolise but catered well for all. Excellent recycling facilities and knowledgeable staff at reception. Sadly two showers were out of... More
