We stayed at the forest park for one night. I was very dubious after reading some bad reviews on here. All I can say is what a lovely hotel the check in was smooth and the receptionist very helpful. We arrived just before 9 at night but the staff arranged that we could still order a meal in the restaurant.... More

Went here for an evening meal with our children and sat in the garden. Cannot review the hotel facilities, but the pub was good as was the bar food. Staff was friendly. Only drawback was a dog that had escaped one of the adjacent gardens at the back of the hotel. It was misbehaving hugely, running after the children who... More

We stayed here at the weekend and the location was faultless - perfect for a stroll into the village centre. Yes, work is in progress and I think when complete the hotel will be stunning. Our room was not yet done - beds very comfortable. Bathroom extremely dated, no where to put toiletries and minimal complementary toiletries offered (useful to... More

The hotel is currently being refurbished and we were fortunate to have one of the newly refurbished rooms. It was so spacious and overlooked the lovely garden at the back. Very comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with bath and large walk in shower.. Lovely breakfast with good service. The outside of the hotel is not very welcoming, but don't be put... More

Stayed there for 5 days,4 nights whilst attending the New Forest Show. Found the Hotel to be in the process of a major refurbishment which will be finished next year but even so we were impressed with the friendly and efficient staff and the large bedroom and en-suite bathroom (even though it was not a refurbished one). We ate at... More

Last stayed here 30 years ago !!! It was a lovely hotel in those days, with stables next door and a lovely outside pool, both these no longer there . Sadly the hotel went downhill fast,so i am so delighted with all the very sympathetic renovations that are being done now to bring it back to the high standard it once was.... More

All the party knew the extensive refurbishment still had a bit to go but nonetheless our rooms and the customer service made our preparation for the next day perfect. The beautiful gardens and the views from the rooms are great . Wouldn't hesitate staying again. Lotte and Nigel . Mum and Dad of the groom.
