I really felt at home staying at the blacksmiths house. Ken and Sheila went out of their way to accommodate me after a mix up with the booking. The room (the cat and fiddle) was clean and tidy and well equipped with local information and tea and coffee facilities. Home made scone and cakes looked lovely but I'm on a... More

We stayed there recently for 2 nights. Location is perfect, just minutes from the train station & also easy access by car or public transport to the many wonderful walks & other towns in the New Forest area. Our room ,Mary Queen of Scots was clean and comfortable . There was a good selection to choose from for breakfast and... More

Had a really lovely stay with great hosts who were very welcoming and friendly. The bed and breakfast was ideally placed with easy access to the train station, local shops, restaurants and pubs. Our room was at the rear with a super claw foot bath ensuite. Clean and tidy with clean towels everyday. Excellent choice of breakfasts with lovely full... More

So glad we booked to stay here. Great hosts and fabulous breakfast. A really spacious comfortable room on the ground floor which would be suitable for guests with a disability. Conveniently located close to railway station, high street shops, pubs and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again and also recommend to friends.

I stayed here for 2 nights in The Cat. Yes it has a private bathroom along the landing but this was not a problem in fact it was a lovely wet room which was fine for me. Great shower plenty of hot water no problem. Sheila and Ken are so friendly and hospitable - nothing was too much trouble. The... More

We decided at the last minute to go to the New Forest , so used the Internet to find a B&B, there was not much choice being last minute but we ended up at the Blacksmith's House and were greeted with warmth and shown to a lovely room, the Mary Queen of Scots room was very nicely appointed and the... Sheila and I would like to thank you for your kind review. Sheila has mastered the Aga now (my turn next) and is now cooking a lovely full English if required. We stayed at The Blacksmiths House for two nights and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. We stayed there because it was very convenient and reasonably priced for The Huntsman where we were going for a surprise party, The rooms were a lovely size and very clean our room had a large walk in shower with plenty of hot... We have stayed here a few times and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The owners Ken and Shelia are lovely. The rooms are spotless and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and lots of it, with so much choice. It's easy access to all areas in the new forest and there are lovely restaurants and pubs nearby. We will try and go... More

I booked the single room for 5 nights in early May. The B&B could not be more convenient for the train. It is only 2 mins walk. Upon booking you receive a door code so you can let yourself in, all the info you need is in the room for you. The single is a quite basic room - from... More

Thank You for your kind and honest review, especially the 4 star rating. As you said the single room has its own separate toilet and shower room, all the others are en-suite, theres not a lot we can do about that unfortunately. As you said the train station is a 2 minute walk away which has proved to be very convenient....
