We decided at the last minute to go to the New Forest , so used the Internet to find a B&B, there was not much choice being last minute but we ended up at the Blacksmith's House and were greeted with warmth and shown to a lovely room, the Mary Queen of Scots room was very nicely appointed and the... We stayed at The Blacksmiths House for two nights and was pleasantly surprised how comfortable it was. We stayed there because it was very convenient and reasonably priced for The Huntsman where we were going for a surprise party, The rooms were a lovely size and very clean our room had a large walk in shower with plenty of hot... We have stayed here a few times and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The owners Ken and Shelia are lovely. The rooms are spotless and so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and lots of it, with so much choice. It's easy access to all areas in the new forest and there are lovely restaurants and pubs nearby. We will try and go... More

I booked the single room for 5 nights in early May. The B&B could not be more convenient for the train. It is only 2 mins walk. Upon booking you receive a door code so you can let yourself in, all the info you need is in the room for you. The single is a quite basic room - from... More

Thank You for your kind and honest review, especially the 4 star rating. As you said the single room has its own separate toilet and shower room, all the others are en-suite, theres not a lot we can do about that unfortunately. As you said the train station is a 2 minute walk away which has proved to be very convenient.... Centrally located 5 minutes walk from the train station, cycle hire just over the road, with numerous restaurants, pubs & cafes within minutes; our room was a good size & very comfortable; Ken & Sheila were perfect hosts, made us feel very welcome & nothing was too much trouble. The home made biscuits & scones which Sheila bakes are out... More

We travelled to Brockenhurst from London for a weekend away. So glad we found this BNB! It was less than a 5 minute walk from the train station. Ken and Sheila are such a lovely couple - they were so welcoming, making sure we were happy and comfortable. Very pleased with our one night stay!

Oh thank you. Sheila and I found you to be a lovely couple as well. As always I had a good chat about London, hoped you liked my pictures of my old school next to the BT tower with the playground on the roof, most people are fascinated by that one. Sheila hopes you enjoyed her cooked breakfast. We are... More

Lovely few days away in the New Forest. Absolutely stoked with the Blacksmith's house. The new owners Ken and Sheila made us feel so welcome. Ken happily upgraded us to a superior room at no extra charge as we decided to stay an additional night. Rooms are gorgeous having been recently redcorated and the roll top bath was pure luxury!... Very nice B&B, decent enough price, friendly owners, warm shower super comfortable beds, good hearty breakfast! They were happy enough to let us come in when they were not home. There is free parking on the street opposite.

Thank you very much for your comments and observations. Parking here really isn't a problem, and as you said our entry system works very well most comments on it have been positive. Its not possible to be here every minute of the day, but we should be here a lot more from now on. Ken and Sheila. More
