a great place to camp. basic needs, campfires outside the tent, vegetables to pick freely, great people working there, the kid found it heartbreacking to leave. in the weekends the kids can feed the animals while the parents eat pancackes ;) not far from the beach and the town of bude

We loved our stay here, hosts were lovely, not crowded, alpaca, ducks, little cafe that opens on the weekend for a nice coffee and some pancakes and only a short drive to the beach. Really great, we'll definitely be back.

Cerenity is just perfect. Quiet. Simple. Remote but close enough to Bude to nip into town. The site is basic but that is what was so brilliant. It was real camping, a break away from hectic, fast paced life. Great spot for walking from - lovely coastal walks with spectacular scenery. Facilities to wash up were clean and easy. Showers... I went here with some surf club buddies. The campsite was very welcoming and the owner lent me some tent poles which were very much appreciated. The breakfast were fantastic - crepes with a delicious choice of fillings! Very ecological - could teach us all a lesson. Great location. Great for having BBQs.

Stayed for 2 nights, in glorious weather which certainly helped, but can't praise this place enough. Greeted by a friendly volunteer, then the lovely manager as soon as we arrived. Pitched up where we liked. Beautiful views. For an eco campsite the facilities were fantastic. Loved the quirky loo set up and hot showers were available. They were cleaned regularly... More

First time we have camped here, it truly did not disappoint! Totally loved it, really quiet (went before school holidays started) no electricity .......was totally fab, running water for drinking and showers, which are heated by solar power, sawdust for your dodo's ......toilet block was exceedingly clean. Well done to Cerenity, loved it!!!!!!

Had a lovely few days camping here- despite the rain! Staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming and were there to greet us despite the fact we arrived at 11pm due to traffic. Will definitely be staying again.

I stayed here for a few days with a group of friends and really enjoyed my visit, The location was lovely and Bude is 15 minute walk away along the canal. The shower and toilets were cleaned every day and we had hot water as it was sunny. I liked visiting the rescue animals and having a look round the... More

Hello and thank you for your review. We really love to hear the comments from our campers after they have stayed. I'm so glad you took advantage of our location and vegetable garden. We mention on the website to bring torches to the campsite, but after reading your review we thought that maybe we needed extra lighting. We have therefore... More

This campsite is highly expensive when you consider that it's almost 3 times the price of a camping club site. Has no flushing toilet and almost no hot water.(runs on solar so water only gets slightly warm and if more than two people shower in the day it's just freezing cold).

Hi Luke, I'm very sorry you didn't enjoy our campsite, we usually get pretty good feedback. We are an eco campsite and so we state clearly on our website that we have compost toilets (which we are very proud of). Flushing toilets would be a lot easier for us, so it's not something we have to cut corners! I'm sorry... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Enjoy the Wilder Side of Camping Serene, green, eco camping set in seven acres of sprawling fields just a short stroll from the seaside. Cerenety is peaceful, old fashioned, back to nature camping, where you can spend lazy days in the grass or playing cricket with the kids. Spend the morning surfing, delight in a relaxing afternoon picnic and while away long summer evenings watching camp fire smoke spiralling idly into the Cornish sky. Do all this whilst happy in the knowledge that your holiday is having a limited effect on the environment. Solar powered showers, compost toilets and wood burning fires allow you to indulge in an off-grid holiday in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Make friends with our rescue animals, meander down the canal into town or take a 5 minute wander down our country lanes to our local secret beach. ... more   less
