We stayed in room number 3 so spacious and clean Bed was very comfy. The bathroom was amazing loved the free standing bath fantastic value for money. All staff very lovely the food at dinner was very tasty recommend the pork and the carbonara. The breakfast was delicious nothing was to much trouble for the staff here we will definitely return.
Really nice room (no.3) (albeit looks onto the sainsburys car park), spacious, smart and wonderful bathtub! Excellent customer service, we had drinks on the deck in the sun with live music and later dinner in the bar - great selection of food on the menu. Breakfast was served in the restaurant again with good choice and great customer service. We parked in the summerleaze beach car park due to the tiny road by the hotel.
Absolutely loved our stay here . The communication with the hotel prior to our stay was always prompt and friendly in reply . There was a lovely greeting by Reception on arrival with clear explanation of important information. Our room was delightful overlooking the sea with a birthday card for my husband , very sweet . Bedroom and bathroom were just perfect . So glad we found this hotel .
Great welcome, fabulous room with stunning views despite some scaffolding being up for some repairs to the roof. We ate in the bar and sampled a fair few cocktails. Couldn’t fault our stay and will deffo be returning at some point. Managed to park out front too. Room was spacious and immaculately clean, and bed super comfy. Highly recommend.
Very friendly staff, hotel spotlessly clean, lovely room. Dined in Elements Restaurant where the food was excellent. From a personal perspective the bed and pillows were far too soft and if you are going to offer a 'full Cornish' it must Hog's Pudding or it's a full English and sounds silly.
We enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant, but the whole evening was marred by the arrogance of the owners of this Hotel. We were sat in the bar enjoying some after dinner drinks knowing we only had half an hour until a 7:30 booking would arrive for the table we were at. We’d only been there 10 mins, when we were asked to move 20 mins earlier than we’d been promised. We queried this as we’d been told we had the table for half an hour and the reservation clearly said 7:30. The answer we got left us gobsmacked. Apparently the owners of the hotel are so entitled and dismissive of their customers, that they will kick you off if they want your table for themselves. Honestly I’ve never experienced such rudeness and arrogance! We moved to the next table that was available- which they could’ve easily taken themselves, but really we should’ve just left straight away, as we had to sit there looking at their smug arrogant faces, lording around in “their” bar. What horrible people- I personally won’t ever go back even though the food was good. I feel sorry for the staff that have to work with such high and mighty bosses. We own our own hospitality business in Wales and wouldn’t dream of lording it over our customers. In my mind people like this don’t deserve customers.…
We were sent this through Secret Escapes and it didn’t disappoint. Although parking is limited, the refundable fee for parking in the nearby supermarket car park is a bonus. All three of our rooms were immaculate and ticked every box. Saturday breakfast and evening meal were also first class. But the highlight of our two-night stay has to be the fantastic staff. Both in the bar and restaurant, couldn't do enough for us, all great fun and kept the drinks coming during the rugby match. Not one negative comment from our group of six. Back soon!
In ordinary circumstances I’m sure you’d enjoy this nice hotel. We happened to check in during Storm Eunice, staff were friendly and polite. We had paid for a two night break in advance. Within a couple of hours of checking in the hotel lost a phase of its electricity supply. As such our room had lighting and sockets but no heating, no hot water, no tv signal and no internet. We were booked in for an evening meal but the hotel’s restaurant could not function and the bar was limited to anything that didn’t require electricity. Now we aren’t unreasonable and the storm was no one’s fault, so we grinned and bared it with the rest of the guests. Overnight the electricity was not restored and by the morning the room was cold as you’d expect it to be in February. We couldn’t shower because the hotel’s boiler wasn’t working due to the electrical outage. First thing in the morning I went to the reception to get an update and was informed by the receptionist that the local electricity board hoped to have the electricity restored by 6pm later that evening. Without any guarantee of the electricity being restored and not overly keen on staying another day without the basic facilities of a hotel, I asked if we could check out and not stay for our second day. I was informed that the hotel was unable to authorise a refund for the second day and that if I did choose to check out then I would have to email the hotel the following week but they could not guarantee any refund would be issued. It was suggested I should claim off of my travel insurance (which if you are anything like me you don’t take out for a UK weekend break). I explained politely that I sympathised with the situation, I didn’t expect a refund or compensation for the first day without facilities but as the hotel couldn’t offer me the basic services for the forthcoming second day I’d just like to check out. My pleas were in vain. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realise that if the hotel won’t allow you a refund for the second day when you are still pre check out for your first day and whilst you are there without any facilities, then once you’ve gone you have zero chance of a refund. So with only Hobson’s choice, we stayed. We went out for the day in the hope that the electricity would be restored by the time we got back. It wasn’t. At 5pm about 25 hours after it failed the electricity was restored. So the bottom line is, as they had my money in advance and despite the fact they knew they could not provide me with the hotel’s advertised services, they put their profit before my customer experience. I’ll leave it to you to judge whether my expectations were too high in the circumstances.…
Have stayed before and been quite happy with room andservice but unfortunately not on this occasion. We booked a 2 night stay in deluxe sea view room.Room was ok but due to storm eunace not all the rooms but ours had no electric from 3pm on first day until we went home.Breakfast on first day was a shambles asked for yoghurt and fruit it never arrived and when cooked breakfast arrived only had small plate scrambled egg no salmon or sourdough bread with it as stated on menu so gave up just ate it as was hungry. We had booked evening meal in restaurant Elements and when we arrived at 8 in restaurant was greeted with no kitchen and you will have to get a take away so not impressed with that.No breakfast this morning as kitchen still out of action and we cannot even make a cup of tea as no electric still so at 7 am we are going home we paid a couple of months ago for this so donot suppose likely to get any compensation so probably will not be returning again.…
We stayed for three nights and had a great room overlooking the beach. This is a well appointed hotel with all you might need and very comfortable beds. The welcome was excellent and all staff were both helpful and friendly (especially Bridget). Also of particular mention is the breakfast service .... very individual, welcoming and great. Plenty of choice for the evening meal. While there is parking, it is limited but we had no problem at all.
