Well, what a beautiful place! This idilic, 16th century guest house has the most amazing gardens, which our lovely room was facing. We had a daily supply of refreshments and the rooms were always cleaned daily. Breakfast which was served between 8.30 -9.30 was excellent! There was a wide choice from cereals, cooked breakfast(locally sourced)and condements, their bread was homemade along with their marmalade.... More

This is a very welcoming B & B and Jan and Liz have done a fabulous job restoring the rooms bit by bit although I personally thought the guests' lounge was a bit dark and gloomy. At one end of the lounge was a bar with various wines and beers and an honesty box which was a very nice touch... More

This was a really great experience. From the easy to follow directions, friendly welcome, immaculate facilities and honesty bar, to the award winning locally sourced choice of breakfasts, this was a superb place to stay. We wanted to stay somewhere special but not corporate. What makes this guest house a cut above is the owners. Liz and Jan take such... More

What a wonderful Guest House. Stayed for two weeks in June and had a lovely time. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Our room was beautifully furnished, spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were delicious with a varied choice of local produce. Jan and Liz are fantastic hosts and extremely helpful with advice on... More

Spent three nights last week whilst visiting family nearby in Holsworthy. A lovely village location, with superb parking. Our room was spacious, with nicely coordinated furniture and linens. The bathroom with shower was modern, well equipped and spotless. Breakfast was excellent and I managed to try a different breakfast each day. The mackerel was superb and the home baked white... the Stratton gardens guest house is a very if not excellent place to stay. Rooms are very spacious with excellent shower and toilet facilities. The breakfast as a wide variety of very good Cornish products. The people who run it are as friendly and helpful as you could wish for. Overall staying. Every thing I cannot fault and would have... After a long drive from Yorkshire we recieved a warm welcome from Jan & Liz, followed by homemade flapjack and tea. We stayed in Turnstone and Chough rooms, both wonderfully presented, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Rooms had tea and coffee facilities (with local fresh milk available), gorgeous biscuits, TV with DVD player (loads of DVD's to borrow too), lovely... More

This was our second stay at this lovely guest house. The house is spotless, very comfortable and has old world charm with modern conveniences. The beds are very comfortable, the tea tray well stocked and the bathrooms really modern and attractive. The breakfast is excellent. With a good choice and hot meals are freshly made. Make sure you try the... More

A 16th century house with all mod cons set in a quiet classic Cornish village. Hosts (and owners) Jan & Liz made us most welcome after a difficult journey - minimum check in formalities & help with our luggage to our room plus an offer of refreshments. Bedroom spacious and very comfortable - super king size bed with fine cotton... More

The B&B is in the village of Stratton, approx 2 miles from Bude & the wonderful North Cornwall beaches. The garden & surroundings are pleasant. There is a good sized car park after you've made it through the typically narrow streets. The bed is comfy & the breakfast is good.
