After reading Waitrose weekend magazine on Callender and the good reviews that the meadows was given we diverted our route just to sample the food. We were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service could not have been more attentive and they even had a menu showing the malts available. We would definitely recommend this restaurant but it would... More

First of all how can you miss with a gourmet restaurant and incredible service just one flight of stairs away. I was in heaven. The room was spotless and comfortable. The food was expertly prepared and the freshness and plate presentation was spot on. The service matched the food. They take the same attention to freshness and detail with the... More

The staff are all really welcoming and the food is excellent. The building suffers a bit from old age with noisy plumbing and parking is tricky. However if you want to be in the town centre there are advantages, you are near the shops and a pleasant walk out of the back garden.

Upon arrival at 4.15pm the door was locked no answer to the doorbell or knocker, it was raining fairly heavily I had to phone this place to tell them I was outside, as I'm booked in they must be aware to expect guests, half hearted apology from young lady when I asked if bell wasn't working she replied " No... Would have got 5 but the room was getting a bit tired. Everything worked except curtains wouldn't close properly. Electric shower in room 1 may not be for all. Overall a good safe choice especially the food.

Unfortunately we could only stay for one night but we really enjoyed it: the room we had selected was cosy and warm. Views were great, beds nice and comfy. Free wifi and complimentary tea/coffee making facility. We arrived early but that was not a problem, Hospitality was great and we really felt at home. Mind this is an old mansion... More

This hotel ticked every box. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Fergus who was a proper heart melter. Our room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and so so comfortable. The only problem we had was trouble getting hot water out the hot water tap but it's a tiny little thing as we had everything else we needed. It was... More

we went to Callander for the day because the weather wasn't bad but we didn't want to go too far away - we had the customary walk down both sides of the main street , but not a lot of shops were open , probably because of the very evident flooding - anyway we though we would pop in to... More

Stayed here for just one night and had a lovely stay. Hotel is situated right in the centre of Callander with a range of good pubs and restaurants roundabouts. Room was very large and comfortable. Loved the selection of large towels which was a welcome change. Had breakfast in the morning which was delicious. Plenty of choice, home cooked and... More

This place is all about lovely food in a central location in Callander. Afterwards head up stairs to a comfortable room. The owners couldn't be nicer and create a welcoming atmosphere.Relaxed and enjoyable !
