Had a fabulous weekend break with friends at this small hotel. Rooms were very clean and modern and the staff were very knowledgable and helpful. Great entertainment and food both nights, couldn't have asked for better. Very central and a great location for walking and touring the area.

We stayed at the Crown for four nights 4th- 7thSept. Thoroughly enjoyed it Ishbel,Bill and all the staff couldn't have been any friendlier. Corrin in the dining room for breakfast( to die for) was especially helpful. If having evening meal please Remember to reserve it at breakfast time, as it is chocca every night . My wife and I would... More

Had an absolutely fab stay at The Crown hotel in August. We were staying for a wedding at Monachyle Mhor so had requested an early check in, but we arrived even earlier than expected and they could not have been more accommodating! They let us get ready in the room before it was finished, and saved some very tired travellers.... More

We stayed at the Crown Hotel, Callander for a short weekend break. What a gem of a hotel. The initial greeting from Bill could not have been friendlier. Our room (room 5) was great. Really bright and spacious with a lovely big en_suite. The hotel was spotless. Entertainment on both nights was great. You could hear the noise in our... More

Having a couple of hours to spend in the attractive town of Callander, we saw several cafes but were tempted by the board outside this main street hotel, and were not disappointed. A very good range of all kinds of mainline food, at very reasonable prices. We chose the "Double Combo" which consisted of chicken, onion rings, mushrooms and cauliflower,... More

I cannot comment on the rooms but this review is our experience of the bar food. We had been advised to try the Crown for a meal after the previous evenings meal at the Waverley hotel was the worst we had ever had from a pub. The Crown Hotel food is excellent and my wife and myself returned the following... More

The stay been fairly poor. The room is very small for the price. However, the room is relatively new and clean and the shower is good. The noise level in the room is an issue. There were noise from the window up till 1am seems to come from the kitchen, which affect sleep. The pillow is very 'lumpy' and uncomfortable.... More

Dear hayhayC, My response to the previous review covers most of this, I must take issue about your claim there is noise from the kitchen, last orders for food are at 8.30pm and there is never anyone in the kitchen after 10pm so that is absolute nonsense. Did you not consider closing the window to stop external noise, all of... More

I stay in a lot of hotels and this place was really nice. Small double room but had everything we could want. Maybe an iron/ironing board would be a nice addition? My friends twin room was lovely and big and had lots of natural light. Really nicely decorated. Really warm welcome from the staff (even took my bag up) Breakfast... More

Dear Niki W, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us. You review is about as accurate as I have seen, yes some rooms are smaller than others. This is a very old building that has been recently renovated and especially as we are in the national park the planning department would not... More

Nipped in for the live 5.30pm footy game on Sat. Lots of folk were in for meals (we weren't) but there is plenty of seating and TV'S spread around to watch it on. Plenty of beers on tap and bottles to choose from along with a well stocked gantry. Dogs are welcome and there's free WiFi, just ask the staff... More
