Nicely located in the centre of Callander this is a great location. But this is more a B&B rather than a hotel. Rooms are clean, but on the small side and a little tired. Breakfast is fine, nicely cooked and that's it. I couldn't help thinking it lack something. It having won "Four in a Bed" I'd expected something a...

We stayed here last Friday for the first night of The Callander Jazz and Blues Festival. The hotel (B&B) is right in the centre of town and close to everything. Parking was reasonable as we managed to get a space just round the corner. Room was quiet, clean and tidy. The early morning wake up call...bagpipes at 8.15 was a bit...

Nice little B&B ideally located for walks in the Trossachs. The owners are friendly and welcoming and willing to advise if asked. Its clean and warm but don't expect 5 star, the price reflects this. Room was small but we were only using it to sleep in as we were out walking all day so it didn't really matter to...

This excellently located guest house provided us with a comfortable and well-equipped room. It was clean and unfussy. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and the start and end of breakfast time is marked byt the owner playing bagpipes! Lovely touch. There is a bar, although we did not use it and lots of information...

Stayed here on a last minuet deal, it's a good value b&b. It's basic but has everything you need for a comfortable nights sleep! The place is very clean and quiet. Breakfast was lovely, a good choice of hot cooked food, obviously we had the Scottish! It was good quality. There is also a range of cereals, yogurt, juices and...

I stayed at Highland House Hotel for a night before embarking on the Rob Roy Way. Tom is a terrific host. The room and bathroom were spacious, and the breakfast was great -- a good start for a long day of walking. And what better way to get going in the morning than to eat a full Scottish breakfast to...

Myself and my partner stayed at the Highland House Hotel at the end of Feb 2016. The location was perfect, close to all restaurants and bars. The room was small with the shower built in to the wall in the room, but that never bothered us. We would definitely recommend this guest house to anyone staying in the area and...

Highland House “Hotel” (its a guest house!!), in Callander looks like it has some nice rooms from the pictures on the internet We had Room 6 so we can only report on that. Firstly, “Private bathroom” means you get a key to a bathroom down the corridor. OK, that’s strictly correct if no-one else has a key to that bathroom....

Unfriendly welcome. Small room. I think their was broken glass in the carpet (I couldn't walk in bare feet). Owner inexplicably and unannounced played bagpipes at full pelt in small breakfast room. I will not be back. I was thinking of 3 circles but "average" would do a dis-service to all the great b&b owners who try much harder this.
