My wife and I would agree that this is the best hotel we have ever been to by far. It is in a lovely location, has wonderful rooms - both bedrooms and all the others, has really good and friendly staff, and outstanding food. We...More
Stayed here for 2 nights for our 10 year anniversary. Staff were excellent, rooms were very comfortable, the grounds were nicely kept and the food was absolutely outstanding. We went on walks and little tours around the area during the day. Plenty to see and...More
New very much enjoyed our one night stay at the Roman Camp - a beautiful rambling house in stunning grounds right by the river. Our room was large and luxurious with a very good bathroom. The only criticisms would be that the bed, although big...More

I agree with other answers in that the people that work here are lovely and will answer all your questions. I will add that we have stayed twice. Our friends have 2 labradors and stayed both times in The Yellow Room with their hounds. It is on the ground floor and near to an exit next to the car park. I'm sure these doors would take a wheel chair and would make it quick and easy for unpacking your car too. Don't think car park ! no!...all the rooms on this corridor have lovely views into a very private garden.(I think yellow room's bathroom might be a problem if wheel chair is needed at all times. If not, it's quirky and pretty.). Wanted to add too that the food here is great. There is a lovely walk by the river accesable though the town (very short car drive) and wheel chair friendly.

Good moning Ruth. I am the website design for the hotel and have been in touch with the owners. They don't have a swimming pool but there are many places in the area which offer spa and massages. I know in Stirling there are some places that offer the service and Callander isn't too far away if travelling.
Hope this helps, Fraser
