You will be warmly welcomed here by Stefano and Francesca.. The twin room was tastefully decorated, the beds and especially the pillows were very comfy, the bathroom fresh and clean with good quality toiletries. However the food is the star here. do choose to have dinner if you can and you will experience delicious authentic Italian food made with quality ingredients such as burrata, Norcia sausage, carefully cooked and beautufully presented. The breakfast buffet is also extensive and the cooked dishes tasty. The trossachs area has plenty of walks at all levels and the scenery is magnificent. No need to go to the Highlands , stop off here!

Excellent guest house - rooms very comfortable. The owners made us feel very welcome. Excellent breakfasts. Ideal location for exploring the surrounding area. Would thoroughly recommend booking a meal for one evening - loved the Italian meal we had.

The strongest point of this house is the very warm welcome from this Anglo-Italian couple who have been there for 7 years already. Our room, Franzeska, was very pleasant and original. Welcome products, cake, tea, water, etc. present in the room as well as a detailed welcome booklet. Very pleasant shower Breakfast, quite complete, is taken on the ground floor, from where you can see, through the window, the little red squirrels or also the pheasants. Price in relation

Beautiful small-scale guesthouse with a beautiful garden. The decor is very attractive. The room is spacious, super clean, good beds. The bathroom has a wide range of care products that you can use. Everything has been thought of. You can even ask for an ironing board if necessary. Both owners are friendly and gave good tips for the area. Breakfast is served in a room overlooking the garden. Wake up nice and quiet. Breakfast is extensive and all equally tasty. Parking on site.
Highly recommended!

We stayed here for a week and enjoyed every moment, loved everything about it. The location was a good base for exploring the Trossachs, lakes and further afield. The guest house is stunning, homely and relaxed and the breakfasts served each morning excellent with generous portions and a good choice. Gourmet cuisine is cooked to perfection by Stefano and Francesca - a real treat.
This victorian guest house has comfortable bedrooms, beautiful front room to relax in, and an amazing garden to lounge in if not sightseeing. It doesn't matter if you're looking for a family, a couple or single stay it really does accommodate for everyone.
But the best thing about Lubnaig was the warm hospitality from both Francesca and Stefano. They make you feel so welcome and looked after throughout your stay with nothing being to much trouble.
I celebrated my birthday here with my family while taken a holiday in Scotland and I could not have chosen a more perfect location. Stefano cooked the most amazing birthday dinner while Francesca made me a birthday cake which was to die for.
I would definitely recommend Lubnaig to anyone lucky to to be staying in the area especially if you're a foodie.

Place of beauty, tranquility and kindness during our Scotland road trip.
The place is charming, large rooms, welcoming and very clean.
We found the breakfast complete and tasty. I suggest the owners offer breakfast before 8:30 a.m., as most of us are just passing through and often go exploring early in the morning. As we had booked a 9:30am tour of Stirling Castle, we didn't have the chance to have breakfast that morning.
We really appreciated having access to the property's garden.
Geographically, the house is well located. Just far enough to get some peace and quiet and close enough to the city center for the market in about fifteen minutes.

Okay, so I don’t often promote someplace I’ve stayed in, but this one I have to do. Francesca and Stefano were the BEST of hosts to our 7 night stay here in Callander, Scotland. On the night when Stefano is cooking — forget about eating anywhere else, you HAVE to eat here. Both are Cordon Blu trained — he on savory, she on sweet — actually they lift up each other’s gifts. The breakfasts — to die for. The room? We stayed in Francesca, on the second floor, with the perfect quiet, wonderful seating area overlooking their meticulous garden with a table overlooking the garden. We spent time just resting there. Truly, one of if not the BEST places we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot of places. You will not regret going to this gateway to the Trossachs — and you will sleep, eat, rest, play, hike — and eat some more. Francesa and Stefano are the best!

I am further writing another review as the owner so kindly responded in a rude and untrue way which seems to be the case on other reviews if they are not 100% positive. Unless you are sure you can fit into the expectations of the owner and be happy with every minute of your stay then I would avoid. The breakfast was awful and DESPITE letting staff know and having a new pot of coffee sent to our table, it was still lukewarm and there were items missing from our plates. DESPITE the owner thinking she told us where to go for tea, she didn't, we went better and dined in the lovely Roman Camp Hotel restaurant where the food was heavenly and served butler style. We did not feel welcome at all and couldn't leave quick enough. The room we stayed in was shabby with fixtures and fittings broken and covered in cobwebs

We stayed at Lubnaig Guest House for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday. On arrival we were greeted by Francesca who after discussing our evening meal in the beautifully set out lounge showed us to our room. My husband had arranged prior to arriving for a bottle of chilled Prosecco to be in our room, such a lovely touch, and it was delicious. The room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate with a lovely view of the garden. The bathroom/ shower had soft white towels and all your toiletries to hand. Our evening meal was totally out of this world, Stefano and Francesca worked their magic, it was stunning. The range of wines is also excellent. We had such a pleasant evening. A birthday card from them was such a lovely gesture too ! Breakfast was equally as sumptuous, a fabulous start to the day. Our stay was absolutely faultless, you can really tell the hosts strive for perfection but are so laid back and are so friendly. We cannot wait to visit again next year.

What a wonderful stay. One of the reasons we chose Lubnaig was because of the impeccable reviews and we can't agree further. From the moment we booked, we had good communication from Stefano and Francesca. We were also lucky to stay on one of the nights they cook dinner so we also booked in for that. The guesthouse is just on the edge of Callander within easy reach of different walking trails in and around, as well as the high street. Plenty of on site parking too. We were greeted by Stefano and warmly welcomed into the house. Our room on the ground floor, Virginia, was incredibly comfy and clean. It had everything we needed as well as a view across the garden. Plenty of hot water, good shower etc. Extra thought given to guests who may feel cold with a heater provided although we thought the house was plenty warm enough. On top of that, it was incredibly quiet and peaceful. Breakfast choices were made at night and that meant it was all prompt in the morning. Both ladies who greeted us were incredibly friendly. Breakfast set us up really well for walking, was plentiful and freshly cooked. Our dinner with Stefano and Francesca also exceeded all expectations. An Italian feast that we would eat over and over again. On the night they weren't cooking, they made a great recommendation for a restaurant a short walk away in Callander. We cannot recommend Lubnaig enough and have already suggested it to family. Thank you!
