This is a lovely, old English house. As you walk in the door you are met by lovely original antique, quality furnishings in traditional country house style. The hosts Maddy and Michael welcomed us and we were invited to take tea in the lounge (even though there are tea making facilities in the bedroom). The bedroom (upstairs) was well laid...

I loved staying in this wonderful house designed by Portmerion architect Clough Williams Ellis. Beautifully kept and full of wonderful antiques it was a slice of perfect country living. Great breakfasts too!

Unfortunately, we only stayed one night, i wish we could have stayed longer. Upon arrival on a very wet day, we were made very welcome by Maddy and Michael. We stayed in the Garden room which is very spacious and very comfortable. The gardens look amazing even on a very wet day !! A fantastic cooked breakfast to start the...

We stayed at Penpark for 2 nights with our baby and loved every part of it. The grounds are stunning and spacious - there's even a tennis court! Maddy and her husband were very kind and welcoming. The breakfast room is lovely and Maddy will ask if you'd like a cooked breakfast, and there's also cereal, yogurt and fruit. They...

We stayed in the garden room with our two dogs and young baby last week. One of the best pet friendly places we have stayed in during our time in Devon. The grounds are splendid, the house delightful and the room was very spacious with a spare room included. We arrived late and the owners were very accommodating in helping...

My partner and I stayed in Penpark's Room 1, the 'large upstairs double', for two nights while attending a wedding nearby. The room is lovely, with an enormous bed, comfortable sofas, plenty of space and fabulous views of the surrounding landscape. The weather was cold while we were there but the room was deliciously cosy. We had read the Penpark...

Our room was quite large, however when we first enquired about the facilities, although we did specifically ask about the room, we were not advised that it was not on-suite. The bathroom was situated on the main upper hallway, very handy in the middle of the night. There was a bath with fitted shower to the taps, but no ability...

Spacious and very comfortable beds, the outside walls are thick stone and it did have a "damp" feel to it but the heating was on and the bedding is more than adequate so didnt feel the cold...

This was the best place we stayed in throughout our road trip in england. The rooms are tastefully decorated and quiet. Bathroom is carpeted and very pretty. Breakfast was great and the countryside views from the window are perfect. I was surprised that it turned out so well as I was worried by one poor review. Would stay here a...
