Visited Captains Club for food and drink a number of times when visiting Dorset and were fortunate that it was warm enough to sit outside to enjoy the most delicious Eggs Benedict. Excellent attentive service. However on our return at the end of the week before returning home we wished to have brunch again. This time the weather meant we...

A story in two halves indeed. I am so pleased that you enjoyed your visit at the beginning of the week and made the most of the terrace and enjoyed your brunch. I am only sorry that you were disappointed on Saturday and in fact didn't even stay. I appreciate we were hosting a pre-wedding gathering at the hotel for...

Met here with some friends for lunch and had a great time. The location is fantastic and we were lucky enough to be able to sit outside and watch the river and people float by. The menu was extensive, but we opted for the lunch special. Everything was superb and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to go back!

A little gem! Hidden away in the most delightful location on the river, a very classy, beautiful hotel. Well appointed rooms, well equipped with Nespresso machine, Bose wifi speakers and other thoughtful touches. The bar and restaurant both lovely. Free wifi makes up for lack of phone signal indoors! Love it.

We stayed as a family for two nights, in a 3 bed apartment/suite. Absolutely huge and bigger than many flats you'd hire or indeed live in! Fully equipped to accommodate 6 people and in fairness if hotel allowed it, the lounge was ample room for a sofa bed etc. Good toiletries, irons and robes. The kitchen was stylish and well...

Captains club is ok. Not much more than that unfortunately, when I walked in I was promptly seated by friendly staff, the interior was really nice but a bit bland. However, the food is really expensive compared to other competitors nearby and not that great, also not much choice if you have dietary requirements or just don't like seafood. However...

Thank you for your review and I am sorry that you were disappointed with your visit for lunch. We always do everything we can to look after dietary requirements so I really wish you had asked at the time. Nevertheless I am so pleased that you made use of the nearby ferry and enjoyed feeding the ducks.

After taking a nice long walk with your dogs you can't beat stopping off at the captains club for a drink and a bit of lunch. The service is always great with a very nice atmosphere and view. The food is always good unlike some places that can be hit and miss
