This hotel has superb attention to detail in all areas that other hotels would do well to copy. But in addition the staff are so pleasant, attentive and friendly. Its hard to understand how they can get such good people but they do. We will return for another trip soon.

Hotel's Favorite
We had a very pleasant overnight stay here with my mum and sister to celebrate a special birthday. We stayed in a family room which was perfect for us - a double and twin rooms linked by an internal lobby that led to the bathroom. Rooms were well equipped and very comfortable. Complimentary gin and sherry was provided and a birthday card and chocolates had been left for my sister. Another nice touch was the colouring book, crayons and elephant towels left on mine and my sister’s beds although we did leave them for the next guests! ; D We had a sparkling afternoon tea which rivalled the ones we’ve had in the famous London hotels and a breakfast so good we didn’t need lunch! We were able sit on the upper terrace each time we visited the restaurant and enjoyed the gorgeous view. We also visited the Upper Deck in the evening for cocktails and wine. A really comfortable, stylish bar. I used the spa facilities in the morning and this was a real treat. A nice sized pool with Jacuzzi, steam room and sauna (also a gym which I don’t use) which led on to a gorgeous ‘hideaway.’ This opened up onto a terrace with loungers and views of Mudeford Quay. Teas and water were also available. The location itself can’t be faulted - the hotel overlooks Mudeford Quay and has been designed so that the views can be appreciated from all the main rooms. The quay is within walking distance which is well worth doing. Finally, the most wonderful thing about this hotel is it’s staff. I’ve never experienced such friendly, professional and efficient service. Everyone we spoke to from reception to housekeeping was so lovely and helpful and really created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The team in the Upper Deck restaurant and bar worked especially hard as it was very busy. They kept a smile on their faces despite having to deal with one very difficult guest. Well done to you all - the situation was handled discreetly and with dignity. I’m not sure I’d have been so nice! Thank you for making our stay so special. We won’t hesitate in recommending this hotel to family and friends and we will most definitely return.

We recently spent a short break here, and were very impressed. We had a room with a great view across the harbour. All the staff were friendly and seemed happy to work there. Food at the Upper Deck Restaurant was excellent. Special thanks go ro Sophie and Phil in the dining room. On hearing of my Birthday a special dish was brought out at the end of our meal. Our porter, David Kelly ( "Mr Fixit")went beyond the call of duty to retrieve an expensive camera lens dropped from our bedroom window onto the roof below. We really enjoyed our stay, and hope to visit again soon

Arriving on a stormy afternoon I went in from the murky weather to be greeted by two receptionists with delightful smiles. The smile theme kept going for my 3 day stay from exceptional staff members. Check in was very smooth and fast. The hotel was described to me well and an offer of bookings for dinner. I staggered with a crutch so had several offers of assistance from members of the team. My room, 418, was exceptionally comfortable though only a small double which I had booked being a solo traveler. The room was immaculately clean and fittings of the highest quality. The evening offer of fresh ice and lemon was a nice touch as was he complimentary sherry and gin. Nice fluffy towels in the bathroom along with good quality toiletries. I found a step may have helped with the bath which was difficult to get into as only half of it protrudes into the actual bathroom area. The rest goes into an alcove. Nice and spacious though and super clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable and superb pillows and linen. Again a step would have been handy as the bed is very high. I am 6ft 4 and had to leap onto the bed like a retired olympian. Pity the 5ft granny! The room is also very quite. The TV could be modernized as it seemed more anologe than HD in definition. Charming housekeeper and floor staff. I saw an article some time ago which described the hotel food and the amazing Cheeses double baked souffle. To be honest I was guided by he souffle to the hotel and staying there other than nearby. To be marketed by a Cheese Souffle is certainly different. I decided to dine in the Upper Deck that evening then the Jetty the following lunchtime. The bar and views are superb. A tall young barman was exceptional and very welcoming as was a lady who seemed in charge. . I like the way the next day they both greeted me and asked how my day had been. All the team there were top class though I feel the manager was not so enthusiastic. He saw me several times over my stay and never greeted me, even on entering and leaving the restaurant. (Black hair. Looks continental) Maybe the crunch put him off. May I make two observations. The first being the computer screens face out to the restaurant. This looks rather untidy and need to face the other way with a small partition in front. The second are the uniforms. Maybe this should be looked into as they are not a suitable standard for the excellent restaurant. The dark open suits flapping about with no tie. A blazer could be more suitable and tie for the Management. The ladies white top and skirts do not compliment their figures. The food was sublime. A wonderful seafood starter was followed with Pork Milaneses, beautifully cooked. Cheese to follow and a superb wine all served to perfection with great staff. A special mention to George. So pleasant and attentive. Maybe future Manager? There was another waiter on at the same time who was also very pleasent from Europe. Breakfast. What a nice team who looked much smarter than the dinner staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Due to the crutch the charming head waitress/Manager offered to collect pastries and juice for me and placed me on a good table overlooking the view. A let down for the hotel s the quality of the tea and coffee service. Cheap stainless steel pots and jugs that seemed to have been acquired from a truckers cafe and certainly not the standard of the Harbour. Sugar horrible also with small tubes and only one on offer. The butter is not upto standard either. Such a pity as breakfast was delicious, great choice, lovely atmosphere, spot on service. As mentioned I went to the Jetty for lunch. WOW. Where do I start? What setting and decor. Again exceptional staff. I think the lady's name was Luka (Assistant manager?). Just amazing. So professional, gracious, chic. What an asset. The Manager was truly 'The Manager'. Again so professional and charming while being attentive to each guest. Another gentleman with dark hair was also amazing. I enjoyed the long anticipated souffle which was even better than anticipated. So light and, well, cheesy. Delicious. For main course I enjoyed fish heaven with the freshest of Bass and a superbly light tart for pudding sided with a well recommended pudding wine. Wonderful. I had Afternoon tea on one of the days which was not brilliant. Slightly dry sandwiches, hard scones (Tough even!) The same dreaded teapots and sugar. This was surprising considering the incredibly high standard of the food in the two restaurants. The Spa is excellent but not if one is inclined to claustrophobia. I went into the changing room a left again. This is only me being a little claustrophobic so I would recommend others not to use. It is a superb facility for non claustrophobic people though and should not take the edge off my review. All in all a wonderful hotel. Beautifully maintained and comfortable. There are lovely walks from there and Christchurch, with it's stunning Priory, is nearby. I have to say though that the team is just incredible. I spoke to Lynne, in reception, complimenting on how cheerful everyone was . She replied 'because we enjoy our work'. This is great to hear and the staff ARE superb. I could not get over the genuine attitude and constant smiles. Do you choose them for their mega flashes of teeth? I cannot wait to return and would certainly recommend any guest to stay there and refresh the mind and soul. Thank you all.

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate the birthday of my Wife. We booked direct with hotel to include Dinner , bed and Breakfast at a very good rate. Check in was easy even though a little early we had a lovely quiet room tucked away in the corner of the hotel with its own terrace. The room had everything we needed, with a lovely comfortable large bed. Nice touch to have free Gin , tonic and Sherry in the room with unlimited bottled water and perfect timing for ice delivery to room prior to dinner. Spa area was very clean with lovely towels and all facilities you need to relax. We ate in the Upper Deck and choose the 3 course set menu, it was perfect, food and service of a very high standard. Breakfast was taken in the same venue with a brilliant choice of cold and hot foods, again the service was superb. Throughout our stay it was very noticeable how helpful, polite and friendly all staff were and a credit to the hotel. The setting for this hotel is just beautiful with wonderful gardens and food and drink areas overlooking the sea. We will visit again hopefully in the spring/summer to really enjoy the waterfront position on a warmer day A GREAT PLACE TO CELEBRATE and ENJOY

My wife and I used to come here to see our son occasionally when he was at Bournemouth Uni. Stayed for a couple of nights as a pre-Christmas break. Good hotel in a lovely location. The staff are a delight from reception to waiting staff. Thanks to the cheery David who not only parked our car and took up our bags but explained the lighting system in our room.( It will be taken to Glastonbury in the summer to light Elton John's gig , but we couldn't figure it out.) Very nice food in the restaurant. Great service from Alex.

We came to the Christchurch Harbour for a night to celebrate my husbands birthday. We got a very reasonable rate booking direct for bed and breakfast. We arrived a bit early for check in but our room was ready. Car park was full but we double parked and left our keys at reception. The room was well decorated and comfortable. Complementary sherry and gin and tonic in the room is a nice touch. There is a fridge with a mini bar which was not extortionate. There are high quality toiletries in the bathroom along with robes and slippers. The tea and coffee tray in the room has instant coffees, pods and a variety of teas. The bed was huge, high and very comfortable. We headed to the bar for a few drinks first. They have a good selection of cocktails and wine which was reasonably priced. We then visited the spa. You don’t have to book a slot which is nice and after being warned it was busy, we didn’t find it to be. There is a nice pool, hot tub, steam room, sauna, showers and a relaxation area where tea, coffee and waters are complementary. We ate in the hotel restaurant Upper deck for our evening meal. We had 3 lovely courses which we enjoyed. Breakfast in the same restaurant was lovely with a self service continental and hot food to order. There is also the Jetty restaurant on the hotel grounds which we had eaten at before and is fantastic. The service throughout the hotel was excellent. All the staff were friendly, helpful and natural. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and has a water front position with lovely views, even on a rainy day. The hotel has the ability to open up and enjoy the good weather or close up and keep you cosy in the winter. Having stayed at a few other Harbours, this hotel is true to the brand and lived up to our high expectations. We had a great stay and will look forward to staying again.
