Just back from a wonderful week at this campsite. Originally booked up for 4 nights but ended up staying for a further 2 nights as we enjoyed our stay so much! This site is a great base to go off exploring the forest, good for the dog as we could just go off without having to drive out to find... More

My two sons (3 and 7) and I have just got back from a 3 night camping trip to the Forest of Dean. It was a lovely short break. A 2 hour drive for us is about as far as I would want to go with my 3 year old. I chose this place based on a tiny thumbnail photo... More

Bad bits first. Lack of or sporadic phone signal. Don't stay if this is essential for you. When you have picked a pitch go and get an operative to tell you which way to orientate tent and vehicle. Do it wrong and they will insist you move (even after someone has said "it's okay till the weekend"). Very little day... More

Lovely site, beautiful views,we stayed here for 5 nights in our camper van plus awning,we had booked a hard standing pitch with EHU which was great,we also had a patch of grass, but awning had to go on hard standing and trying to peg it down was very hard work ,so do take extra strong pegs and a good mallet/hammer excellent loos... A very large camp site! lots of rules and regulation (tiresome). Well maintained toilet and shower blocks and right in the middle of the forest. but there is just something about it that makes you feel that they are waiting for you to do something wrong so they can tell you off!!!! I and my family and grand children felt... More

Camped here for a couple of nights and it is probably one of the best campsites I have been to. Friendly staff, great site, superb facilities. Couldn't get over how clean the site and facilities were. Very welcoming staff and fellow campers. Will be returning in the near future.

This is a picturesque site set right in the middle of the forest of Dean. We stayed on a Saturday night with three separate tents in our party. It was incredibly busy but we still managed to pitch together. Very family friendly with kids a plenty which we liked. The site is on a slope although this didn't cause any... More

We arrived at the site, our first visit for over 30 years. We were told that we would have to reverse in, and I presumed they didn't want us to drive over the grass, and so informed them I had a mover, so we could go in either way without a problem. Whilst we were setting up, a member of... More

We came here for one night to test out our ability to camp at our advanced ages. The staff were very helpful and polite, the facilities were OK, certainly I've been to worse, however the site is on a slope and the only bit of site we could use (getting there at 3pm) was sloping, albeit not horrendously, enough to... We wanted a simple campsite close to home that we could test out our new tent. Nice campsite with the forrest immediately on your doorstep. Nice clean ablutions and easy to get to. The only downside is the lack of an on site camp shop.
