Staying one night at the bells hotel we checked in and directed to our room. First impression reasonable standard but room was cold. On closer inspection the radiator thermostats were all turned to the off position. Point to note ensure room is warm before guests check in. Returning later that evening and heading straight to bed found bed to be...

Stayed for 1x night on business as normal place was full. Staff friendly and good service but room was tired and dated and I didn't appreciate the waterproof mattress cover! Bathroom was adapted for people with restricted mobility. Had room service which was prompt and food tasty. Good wifi connection. Breakfast, self service buffet was ok! Wouldn't choose to stay...

Comfortable hotel with a good menu for meals and provided excellent service which several of our group have been before, plus the golf course attached which is good for all standards of player. Buggies were not overpriced and there were plenty available. Plenty of people were enjoying the various activities in the nice part of Gloucetershire

The place is lovely, the food was really good and great value for money. The drinks are a bit pricey but what you'd expect for a golf club I suppose. However... the unprofessional staff and an apparent lack of any management of those staff is totally letting the place down. The lady serving at the carvery was shouting at the...

Firstly we would like to thank you for your review. Without this feedback it is hard to fulfil our commitment to improving and maintaining standards. Unfortunately on the date in question we had been left short staffed. This meant new starters were thrown in at the deep end on a busy lunch service where normally they would be shadowed. New...

I was overruled and opted for Edenwall Cottage which was lovely. Stayed there for a Sunday to Friday break and was an ideal central location for getting round the area. The cottage was cosy and well equipped (we stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage) and were greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine. Nice touch! Spotless throughout as well. There...

We stayed here for two nights on a coach tour of the Forest of Dean. Our room was very clean with a comfortable king size bed and the usual coffee/tea tray and there was free Wifi. The bathroom, which was spotless, was actually adapted for someone of limited mobility and was therefore larger than normal with a walk in shower...

Visited on 19th October for an overnight stay to include two rounds of golf. Our hotel room was ready on arrival which was great. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was adequate, although the bathroom needed some TLC. Golf course was good, although fairways grass quite long, but Green staff were busy repairing damage of wild boar. Course...

Stayed as a member of a coach party in Oct 2016. Pleasing site at a Golf Course. Good views and open country. The rooms are spacious and inviting and the beds are comfortable. Very clean and well kept up. It is a quiet location with good parking. The food is excellent - I have stayed in more prestigious hotels where...

26 of us stayed at the hotel and played two rounds of golf off the yellow tees. The course is very pretty and not too demanding. The greens were particularly good especially in view of the rain while we were there.
