What should have been an enjoyable overnight stay at this hotel (which is set in lovely surroundings just above Coleford) was somewhat tarnished by my experience. Having been assured at reception that Evening Meals were available and inspected the menu at 1730, I wandered into the restaurant at 1930 only to find a notice stating that no meals were served...

We went to the Mayors Civic Dinner which was hosted by the Bells Hotel. The organisation was excellent and the staff were superb. The event raised money for local charities and everyone had a great night. The food was delicious and even though there were a lot of tables and people no one waited long as the team were efficient...

Well,not really sure where to start. Have stayed at this hotel a couple of times in the past to play Ryder Cup format golf. 24 blokes,it was good then. My wife and I who are both keen golfers decided to take advantage of the Winter deal golf packages.... Even better! Nothing is too much trouble for the folks at this...

we arrived at 930pm to no one on reception. we waited for 5 to 10 minutes and still no-one came. walked out of the building across the car park to the restaurant. asked someone if anyonr wqs on reception? he came over and said there should of been a sign up saying pick up phone and someone will answer and...

This was our second Christmas lunch at Bells, needless to say it was superb. Clean warm surroundings, friendly and attentive staff. Our party was 17 strong, each one commented on the quality of food and service. Overall a great a great experience.
