Very nice room, nice and peaceful grounds & very friendly staff great value if you can get a good room rate which doesn't seem hard to do ! Only downside must vacate room by 10 am on a Sunday morning 11am would be better if you had a long day before hand !!!other than that definitely stay again !

Thank you! The fact that you have kept coming back for such a long time says everything about what we do our best to offer. We don’t train any of our staff in ‘banter ‘so maybe we should look into that if it gets results like this! More

Booked for a group of 24. Hotel very quiet so we had almost free use of the bar in the evening. Food was good and plentiful, staff very attentive. Rooms were Ok with all theat was needed but the walls were very thin so everything said in the next rooms could be heard, take earplugs. WiFi in room 10 didn't... More

Many thanks for sending in your review. I will check on the ‘noise’ issue as we have received a similar message in another review. I wonder if this relates to the same time. We will do our very best to deal with excessive noise when it arises. I’ll also pass on your comments regarding Reception. We have had some problems... More

Needs a good revamp and deciding whether open to the public or purely for golfers. The room looked pleasant. The cups in the room had not been washed from previous people, merely turned upside down. Mould around windows. Dirty bathroom. Shower head caked in limescale. Shower curtain pole Rusty and filthy looking. Golfers extremely noisy outside the adjoining club house.... More

Stayed here for the night. Set on a golf course so had lovely green views. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. We didn't try the restaurant in the evening but looking at the menu food looked nice. Breakfast was hot and tasty. Ideal place to stop while in the Forest of Dean and not expensive either.

26 of us visited this venue for a 3 day Golf Weekend in mid-May. The rooms were very adequate, and clean, and the clubhouse bar and prices excellent. We ate in a separate room both nights and the food and service were very good, well worth the money. The staff were eager to please, and nothing was too much trouble.... More
