Excellent food and a very friendly pub in the centre of Fowey, good local ales and great selection of food on the menu. The food is reasonably priced for a local pub and would recommend the fish and chips.

Loads of character, staff very accommodating but the Ship Inn is right next door to the local church who's bells rang out every 15 minutes. So if you are looking for a quiet night this may not be the place for you.

Enticed into the pub by other excellent reviews on the food and we weren't disappointed. We both had the Lamb then for desserts had Hot Chocolate Fondant and Creme Brûlée. The lamb was excellent, perfectly cooked and the vegetables were delicious. The two desserts were home cooked and were fantastic. Presentation of the meals were a delight too. We were... More

Just returned from a great one night stay at this hotel. The hotel is in a great position close to the quay and has everything you need. The drinks and biscuits as well as the shampoo, conditioner and shower gel miniatures were a welcome surprise. We enjoyed a fabulous full breakfast the following day. Great little gem of a hotel!

The Fowey Regatta was taking place and the Ship embraced the atmosphere 100%. The beer excellent (cask marquee) and the food exceptional - especially the moules, fish pie and fish stew. Staff - superb under the excellent supervision of the landlady/manageress. Will return next year

We had delicious food at the Ship Inn, the service was also very quick. I had the lamb and my husband had beef, both wonderful. Only reason I didn't rate 5/5 was because our drinks were served in plastic cups, which would have been fine if we were outside but in the restaurant I would have expected a glass.

We ate here and to be fair the food was fine. The bar staff were also very friendly too. The disturbing part was the behaviour of the clientele. Far too many young drunken kids hanging around both in the pub and outside. After the place had stopped serving, kids were hanging around outside and of course the inevitable happened. A... More

Much quieter than expected and can't understand why. 3 lovely meals each cooked to perfection, smashing cheeseboard, good beer and excellent, friendly, helpful staff....what more could you want? Happy to recommend and will definitely visit again when next in Cornwall

I visited this pub during the Fowey Regatta week with my daughters for lunch. We were all very pleased with our meals especially the fish pie. Packed with fish including scallops and topped with local Gouda cheese ( probably sourced from the deli next to the pub) There was plenty of atmosphere in the pub ( which incidentally is HQ... More

I was extremely disappointed with this pub. The food portions were very small considering the price which were not. We had 3 fish and chips which were cooked nicely just overpriced. Decor was ok but a little hot in the upper restaurant. Service was ok, lady behind the bar was very helpful. Sadly I cannot recommend this pub for its... More
