Nothing was too much trouble for either of them, every request was met with a friendly chat & happy smiles. They are a lovely family who not only run the hotel...

A big thank you to Neil and Emily for their very warm welcome with nothing too much trouble. Perfect quiet location to visit Beamish and Hadrian's Wall as well as close access to large town/city. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Would highly recommend staying to everyone.

Best nights sleep I have had for ages as the bed was so comfy. Situated so near to everything but away from the hustle and bustle. Lovely touch with the personally recommended places to...

First the price attracted me, then I read the the reviews. All seemed spot on. As we had a car it was not a problem to stay outside of Durham. On...

Received a lovely warm welcome which is very important. Loved the mezzanine layout of the room that we had. Beds very comfy, room warm, loads of hot water, quiet and peaceful location. Great breakfast. Wifi in rooms would be good but not far to go to the dining room to access it. Hope to be back one day !
