We last stayed here June 2016, and returned with some friends for two nights to use as a base for a trip to Beamish museum. Every member of staff in this premier inn were lovely, bar one. The bar manager really let the team down. She was quite rude to us when we tried using our food voucher, we had gotten as part of our package with our stay. She also showed a lack of patience whilst she was training someone in.

The room was as you would expect and the food good. We booked the meal deal - I would welcome two options for a meal deal - one to include the full cooked breakfast...

Hotel was great only problem we had was our room was cold, we turned up the heating but it never stayed at the setting we put it to. Other issue we had was we thought the Brewers Fayre was very expensive for both food and drinks

Great to see this hotel getting the upgrade at last even though this meant a little disruption. Staff all very helpful. Close to metro centre however not an easy walk due to the busy road. food better since change over.
