Very friendly service from all the team. Clean, however a little tired. Right beside a busy road so rather a lot of noise. The room was very hot but a fan had been placed in the room which helped a little. The breakfast was self service but not great. The coffee was poor at best! However the staff again were... More

A premier Inn is a premier Inn but this one seems to have been plonked in the middle of a dual carriageway with not such easy access to the shopping centre that bears the same name!!! If I've got to he honest it's the worst nights sleep I've ever had....thd walls must be so Insulated that the convenient fan within... More

Reception staff excellent and go out of their way to help. Room was very clean apart from mirror, although it is not a major issue, you expect it clean for price paid but didn't bother complaining. Temperature of room unbearable even with the fan provided, the windows are restricted so it would have been nice if there had been air... More

When we arrived it was very easy to park, the staff were friendly and helpful, the room and bed were clean and comfortable, it was quiet at night, no noise from the other guests or from the road, we felt secure and fantastic breakfast in the morning

On our arrival nothing was explained to us about eating next door for evening meal or breakfast so we just went in for a look for ourselves. It was a Taybarns eatery and it stunk of stale cooking fat, and the food that was on offer in the baine maries looked inedible and lukewarm. There was children running everywhere amoc... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in order to visit both Beamish and the metro centre. Hotel well situated and the room whilst a little on the small side compared to others was fine. It was however extremely hot on the first night but having a stand-up fan in the room helped. Ate in the adjoining Taybarns restaurant the first evening... More

We've just had two nights here while visiting Beamish Museum nearby. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was very nice. Two things about the room could be improved - the TV was tiny, only about a 17", 4:3 model, where we've been used to 32" or even 40" elsewhere. The other thing we found was that the... More

Excellent hotel and the staff go the extra mile regardless of what you require. Norrie the reception guy was absolutely fantastic and honestly the most helpful receptionist I've come across after staying at many chain hotels. 5 stars highly recommended will definitely be coming back.
