I've eaten here a few times and stayed once when I had a concert in the city. The Room was pretty standard, nice and comfy, it could maybe do with some modernisation, but that's aesthetics only. Everything worked fine and was clean. Can highly recommend the restaurant here, as already stated I've eaten here various time due to family living...

We stayed here for 2 nights and have to say one of the nicest places we have stayed . From a lovely welcome from the staff on reception who couldn't have been more helpful our room was lovely and the view across to the Angel of the north was amazing . Breakfast was also excellent we both really enjoyed our...

Booked for Christmas lunch with work colleagues, when we got there there were only another 5-6 people there that should have told us it wouldn't be good. Starter arrived soup YUK! was the only way to describe, it looked grey tasted grey if anything could, barley and split pies so hard it was not eatable, clearly looked like they had...

Booked a Superior double here from 27th-29th December as a base when visiting family. We had booked breakfast for both days and chocolate strawberries on arrival. On arrival check in was easy, friendly staff and chocolate strawberries waiting for us (which were lovely). The room was for the most part fine but the bed could do with a new mattress....

Caught between a 3 & 4 out of 5 here, but decided on 4, as the welcome at reception was excellent (Swiss person!). Room was clean, bathroom as well..... but mattress not very comfortable, chair marked, worn and didn't fit under desk. View of the famous Angel of the North from the window of the room was striking! Location for...

I'd be very nice with this review as the dining experience was generally good. The waiter was nice, the place and atmosphere was great. The food (pork dish) came out undercooked so I had to send it back. The staff was apologetic (he even offered a complimentary drinks) and ordered the same dish - came back the same (undercooked) so...

The hotel is located just off the A1 not far from Gateshead, Newcastle and the Metrocentre. There isn't much nearby so you either use the bar and restaurant or get in a taxi to Newcastle which takes about 15 minutes and costs around £15. I took the taxi option so I can't comment on the food other than to say...

Well we booked one nights stay in a superior double room in the Angel View Inn (£85 bed only). When we arrived it was in a nice location and we decided to have lunch before we booked in. The food was great very tasty, very large portions, and the staff friendly and good. After we went through to reception to...
