Louise and Angus - The perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble. Lovely homemade cake on arrival and delicious breakfast each morning. The cottages have absolutely everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. The perfect place to stay. Thankyou

We booked bed and breakfast but were upgraded to a self catering apartment which made our stay particularly comfortable. The accommodation was spacious and clean and the Victoria Sponge on arrival was good. Towels were plentiful and the bed very comfortable. Great selection at breakfast including loads of fresh fruit. Lovely setting with lots of footpaths close by. Good for... More

So glad we found Riding Farm for our 2 night stay. From the minute you arrive until you leave everything is perfect. Beautiful setting and we were upgraded to a self catering apartment with a welcoming Victoria Sponge (yum, yum). Louise & Angus were great hosts and gave us lots of info about our visit to Beamish, which was the... More

This is a small B&B tucked away near Beamish at Gateshead, a large, but quaint working farm. We were greeted by Louise and Angus and their charming daughter, Isabella, and welcomed with tea and cake. They are very affable, engaging, and funny. We thoroughly enjoyed the reception! Our room was on the second floor and overlooked the fields. Large windows... More

We have just come back from one of the best breaks we have had in a long time. We have always wanted to go to Beamish Museum and searched the internet and found Riding Farm, from the moment I emailed then called the service was exceptional. Angus Louise and Isabel are so welcoming and care so much about the guests... More

I booked a room but was upgraded to a cottage type accommodation, very nice but the microwave was left splattered with food, and to be honest the place was a bit grubby in places. However I remember that it was well off season so things could get a bit lax, so why 4 stars, well the breakfast was excellent and... More

My wife and I booked Riding Farm as we had to go to a family funeral in Birtley and not knowing the area this bed and breakfast appeared to be close to the chosen crematorium in Birtley. Right from the moment we booked over the telephone the help and assistance we received in directions and advising of arrival times, a... More

We booked a three night bed and breakfast break and were happy to discover on arrival that we had been upgraded to a stay in Lapwing Cottage. It was a such a lovely place to stay with every amenity you could wish for. There are many little touches that make it a cut above others. I loved the bathroom toiletries... More

Only seven miles from the city centre of Newcastle yet the farm is in the middle of nowhere.......perfect. Great big bright light en suite room. Really good breakfast with lovely fresh fruit and yogurt, followed by a "proper" Full English. Most defiantly will be retuning. Thank you.
