Very Quiet location without being too far from civilisation. We stayed in Pig Run Barn which was anything but a pig sty. We were comfortable and warm even though the weather was cold. Cottage had two en-suite bedrooms and a large lounge-kitchen more than enough room for four. Parking is outside the door and well lit. There are a number...

One of the best B&B's we have very stayed in. Very friendly with super comfortable rooms! Lovely bath robes, fresh milk and complementary water in rooms. Welcome cup of tea and cake on arrival. Despite feeling very rural only 20 minutes from Newcastle. Brilliant stay.

The Farm is well located, being in a rural setting but within a short drive from the Tyneside conurbation. It has a good mix of rooms in the main house and barn conversions in the courtyard adjacent. We were in one of the latter which was very well-equipped to cater for a self-catering stay if required. The overall accommodation was...

We booked to stay here during the Great North Run for 2 nights and it was beyond perfect for what we needed for our stay. I felt so at home instantly which is often missing when you stay away. I rang ahead to confirm we would be arriving later than anticipated and Louise made sure that all was ready for...

We stayed here Thurs to Saturday am, (2 nights). Arrived early evening to be welcomed by a most welcomed cuppa and homemade cake, a lovely touch. We stayed as its very convenient for our visit to Beamish Museum, only 4 miles away, approx 10 mins drive through the winding country lanes. The Riding Farm is a lovely warm and welcoming...

I have stayed here several times, a couple of times as a lone traveller with work and then brought my husband and son for a couple of days. I stayed in one of the self catering apartments. These have been converted from old farm buildings and are just beautiful. They have been done to such a high standard with a...

We arrived here a little early, after driving along a very long and narrow road, in fact we had just reached the point of "are you sure you have the correct address?" Being early and finding no one around we walked about and admired the views over the surrounding villages and the Angel of the North in the distance, and...

Our main reason for staying in the area was to visit Beamish museum. So glad we found Riding farm B&B as it was 5 minutes drive away. Angus and Louise were the perfect hosts and on arrival we were welcomed with a homemade Victoria sponge (very yummy)and a pot of tea. We were given vouchers for Beamish which entitled us...

Stayed for two nights in the main house which provided comfortable homely accommodation and all the amenities you would expect along with lovely views of the gardens and beyond from our room. On arrival we were welcomed with a pot of tea and home baked victoria sponge cake which was delicious. Our hosts Angus and Louise were helpful and informative...

Louise and Angus - The perfect hosts, nothing too much trouble. Lovely homemade cake on arrival and delicious breakfast each morning. The cottages have absolutely everything you could need and are spotlessly clean. The perfect place to stay. Thankyou
