Me and my wife stayed in the hotel on Saturday night. (24th). We were at our friends wedding in grange and your hotel looked a lovely place to stay. But i was wrong. On our arrival we we sent to a small building across from the main hotel. We were greeted bye a cleaner with a key to our room.... More

We visited to meet up with ex-colleagues who cancelled at last minute, we went ahead and stayed anyway. We were slightly apprehensive as this is a Christian Hotel and were unsure of what to expect. We needn't have worried, the place is charming, slightly old fashioned, but hey, old fashioned is good when it comes to service. The pool is... More

We paid extra for an en suite and were very pleased with the room. Warm, clean and comfortable. Location fantastic, swimming pool warm, and breakfasts were great with choice of hot or cold. Ask for toast and the staff are pleased to oblige. Reception staff efficient and welcoming. Would definitely return.

This is a very friendly hotel - with excellent grounds and a very good swimming pool. The hotel is very comfortable - the room we stayed in (double -bed with bath) was very good and clean - towels changed each day and bed made. We only had breakfast which was first class - you cold have dinner or a snack... More

Myself and my wife decided at the last minute to go away for a couple of days. I found Abbot Hall Hotel on Book.Com. The pictures on view were stunning and the deal on offer was to good to miss, so I thought we would stay here. We arrived at around 19.00 and went in to the reception were we... More

We booked this hotel because we have my 81yr old mother in law living with us, and we find it hard to get accomodation with no stairs or lifts. This place sounded perfect. Not at all, we got there early, so had to wait for rooms, we sat outside and had a coffee it looked really lovely. I decided that... More

After a 7 and half hour journey we arrived late afternoon and were 'greeted' by a very unfriendly receptionist who was also extremely rude. Hotel has restaurant and we asked to book evening meal to be told there was no room as they had a conference going on and there was no room for us. The hotel could be really... More

Due to the busy weekend for the Chilli Festival in Holker we managed to book a room here, on arrival we where greated nicely, informed breakfast was 8 to 9am no flexibility, we didn't stay in the main hotel and had been placed in side bungalow, extemely poor, small, 70's in decor, with a shared bathroom/toilet. We asked for a... More

We booked five nights B&B and were given a room in The Bungalow. It was not en suite and the two toilets and bath/shower were shared with several other rooms, although for most of our stay we seemed to be the only people in. The room was clean and had a washbasin, but there was no aircon and there was... More

Hotel dated and abit rough looking, our room was in 'the bungalow'. Very disappointed that I had to share a toilet and bath / shower with another 6 rooms or so. Rooms small and dingy with two single beds and a sink in the corner, reminded me of being away on a school trip when I was 12 years old.... More
