Staff were very friendly but to say the room was spartan would be an epic understatement ! No television is one thing, but no radiator in the middle of winter is a laugh. Pool heating was broken so it was cold, no bathroom only a communal shower. Best thing about this place was getting the refund and seeing it disappear...

Booked to stay here just for one night. It was the middle of winter and our room was freezing cold with no radiator, very bare minimum with a very uncomfortable bed, washroom and toilets were at the bottom of the hall which was very inconvenient! There was no amenities local without driving. Didn't end up staying the night because it...

We initially booked this hotel because it had a pool and was more than reasonable in price. We were not dissapointed with the pool which is in a modern building opposite reception. There is a small bistro area at reception which serves food i believe for just one hour 19.00 to 20.00 but it serves both coffee and alcoholic drinks...

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.I think our room had been refurbished and the ensuite was lovely. There was obviously some more refurbishment and work going on whilst we were there but it did not interfere with our stay. Breakfast was good and we did have to sit with other couples which is not to...

To be honest we were panicking as there is a lot of negative reviews about this hotel, and also didn't know what were we're letting ourselves in for. Well we only payed £105 for 3 nights. We had a room in the bungalow. Yes it was...

The location is fantastic, with amazing views over the Morecambe Bay. We stayed in the self catering pine lodges which were superb. Lovely and peaceful place. Very welcoming, and staff were pleasant The main hotel also had a lovely vibe to it. We didn't eat at the hotel but went to a restaurant 5 minutes drive away called the Pheasant...

My partner and I had a week booked at the lakes Monday to Friday but we fancied an extra day so we found the Abbot Hall Hotel after having a look on booking.com. For £50 for a double room with breakfast included we weren't expecting a 5* experience obviously, but we were expecting basic cleanliness and a hospitable room. The...
