Having visited before was looking forward to my break. Staff and service in hotel are good. Food at dinner time was a big let down for me. Good hotel for touring area. If visiting again would only be on a B+B basis. Meals just not good enough.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Criaglynne Hotel, we had a lovely suite overlooking the garden. Breakfast was nice and the staff were nice and friendly. We had dinner at the restaurant on our second night- tasty food. Had to wait a while as we did not order from the set menu. I asked what gins were available from... More

Were a bit apprehensive about what to expect judging by some of the reviews, but there was no need. This is a beautiful building and the reception area was equally impressive. The receptionists were very pleasant and we were allocated room 101. You enter in to a dressing room area with bathroom and wardrobe closet, and it opens in to... More

Staff were very friendly, bed was fine, no complaints with the room, bathroom had recently been done and was impressive. Breakfast was decent too. I agree about the creaky floorboards but had an enjoyable stay nonetheless:-)

A good hotel on the edge of the town .ten minute walk to it's centre. Just booked last minute through easy break a great choice got the best room in the hotel number 1 the macallam. Evening meals are lovely although breakfast on the first morning was a bit "fawlty towers" first to be told they'd run out of orange... More

We stayed for two nights DBB with our dog. Our room was small but adequate, with usual attractive tweed "Crerar" hotel decor. Very quiet. The bed was comfortable but seemed shorter than usual, a "Scottish" double perhaps! We reported the shower on departure as it was very difficult to turn it off. Tremendous value on a "Managers Special" which you... More

We were passing by and decided to have dinner in this hotel. The food there was simply superb. Meals were very delicious and well presented. The raspberry cheesecake was my absolute favourite, in fact it was the most delicious cheesecake I ever had. Atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and waiting staff were polite and pleasant. The bartender seemed to... More

An old manor house converted into a hotel. Quite cute with helpful staff and working wifi. The reason for three stars is its cuteness and staff attentiveness, not quality or cleanliness. Usual English breakfast was included. Close enough to the main center of the village and the river for a relaxing walk. The stores close fairly early so keep that... More

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely receptionist. Our room was pleasant though dated. Unfortunately it seemed as though the thermostat in our shower was broken. Our main issue was with the staff in the dining room. The staff were incredibly rude and incompetent. We had a dinner and a breakfast at the hotel. On both occasions we were... More
