This was our first visit to Andover House as we usually stay at The Cliff but it was fully booked. It's certainly got more of a B&B feel and was beautifully decorated. The food at dinner was delicious and service was great. Breakfast was also really lovely with great service again. Continental breakfast is included and they have a good...

Huge thanks for some really great feedback, Laura. I hope you will return soon - free breakfast now which is a bonus and if you don't mind a few stairs, maybe you could try The Attic next time. Its a great space! All the very best from us all. Victoria

Me and my partner stayed here as a little getaway before I returned to full time work! We are in our 20's and chose here because it looked modern. Also we wanted to stay in Gt Yarmouth for a traditional British weekend! All I can say is this place was amazing, we booked a double room and were given the...

Hi Fiona. Thank you for such kind words and super to read about someone taking full advantage of the town and surrounding areas. If you return for that well deserved 'escape', a full breakfast is now free :-) Thanks again and hopefully we will welcome you back soon. Victoria

This was our second stay at Andover House, our first being earlier in the year. This time we decided to opt for 2 nights, and we stayed in one of the newer rooms on the ground floor. Check-in was swift and polite as before, and staff were excellent in general. The room was wonderful (photos don’t do it justice!), a...

Absolutely fantastic that you stayed a second time and tried the restaurant out. I am really pleased that you enjoyed the ground floor room, its one of my new favorites and your right - the pictures don't do it justice. When showing guests to that room they always give off a little gasp of happiness which is a real giveaway...

The property has a lot of character but still has a modern feel. All areas in great decorative order. The rooms are warm and comfortable. The staff friendly and professional. All the other good things you will read about this place are true. I think it probably is the best hotel in the area. I recommend it without hesitation!

Only stayed the one night but was very impressed by the hotel and the staff. On arrival we were greeted by the very professional and happy Thelma (I do hope I have her name right) We were kindly given a complimentary upgrade to a lovely basement room. The room was large, very clean with everything we needed. The bar area...

Thank you, Wayne! Really pleased you had a lovely time since it was a special treat for your wife. 'Vilma' will be thrilled that she got a mention (don't worry as she gets called Wilma most of the time so Thelma is a nice name change). Glad you liked the little upgrade. All the very best to you both, Victoria

My boyfriend and I booked here as we had always heard great reviews. The food was amazing!! Great presentation & so delicious!! The cocktails were lovely too. Great value for money, 3 courses each plus a bottle of wine, a cocktail each & a coffee for just under £100. The staff were attentive & polite. Just a shame it wasn't...

Andover House is a quality individual small hotel on one of the nicest tree fringed roads just of the seafront, with free street parking fronting the premises. The hotel has been formed from fine town houses so rooms on several floors and no lifts so there is a no young children policy, but for us that was a plus. We...

What a wonderful read! Huge thanks for mentioning just about every part of Andover House with such affection. Use this hotel for business once a month, and have just checked into my room in the newly refurbished wing. Very tastefully decorated, Sky TV in every room, and a real home from home. The food is excellent, with an extremely varied menu, whether taken in the restaurant or on room service. Make sure you try the smoked fish benedict...

Firstly, let me say that the staff without exception were attentive, friendly and generally excellent. The hotel was clean, the room was decent, there were just one or two things which stop me giving it 5 stars. The shower was very weak when hot and too cold when powerful. The heater in the room was set at a temperature and...

Thank you so much for all of your comments. Will certainly look at the heater temperatures with urgency. Just to explain again, we have kept our room rates the same for many years - choosing not to increase them to entice our guests back every year. As a result, we offer a good selection on the continental table and give...

Andover House is an intimate, endearing small hotel and restaurant, located on a beautiful tree lined avenue close to the seafront and business hub of Great Yarmouth. Inspired for those over 13, the restaurant serves stunning food, at fair prices, with service befitting the setting. An intimate, contemporary atmosphere with a welcoming, homely charm. The en-suite hotel rooms have everything needed when away from home; amazingly comfortable beds, big HD televisions showing Sky Sports and homemade biscuits to nibble on with a cup of tea. The shower rooms are small but we hope we make up for it in other ways! ... more   less
