Reviewed yesterday NEW

My five friends and I have just stayed overnight and attended a party night. The Windlestrae was good last year but had improved this year. I was in room 319 which was refurbished and spotless. The only downside being that I went to bed around 11-30pm and heard the disco loud and clear for another hour or so. Then to... More

Attended the Party night here on Sat 3rd Dec with friends. Party night was brilliant. We came in 2015 and decided to return this year again. We found the staff much more attentive this year. The food at the party night was excellent. Starter and dessert were served to you and the main course was carvery/buffet style. We would highly... More

Stayed at the Windlestrae, 11th to 14th November and had a very good stay. The food in Montys restaurant was very well cooked and in my opinion good value for money. All staff gave very attentive service from Sindi at Reception to all of the other people working there. Breakfast was plentiful and the bed was very comfortable. This was... More

Had stayed at this hotel 20 years ago, so chose it for an overnight anniversary stay. The reception area is very tired and unprofessional looking but our receptionist was lovely. Room was a superior one with complementary robes, a lovely touch, however the bathroom door needed re-varnished, the toilet seat was loose, and the shower only flowed at 'scalding'. Leisure... More

I have not long returned from a weekend stay in the Windlestrae. I am so glad I did not pay much attention to the bad reviews people have posted previously. I believe they need to manage their expectations. Upon arrival, we got talking to the receptionist, Candice I am sure her name was. She was polite and you could not... More

Stayed one night for a works gathering. Hotel has function/ conference rooms, decent Wi-Fi, good food with vegetarian options. Also met various other dietary requirements. Reasonable bar. Guests get use of adjoining leisure club with gym, swim pool, sauna, steam room and spa. Changing rooms quite small. Room was spacious, comfy, clean, warm with all usual facilities. TV didn't work...
