Work usually books a hotel, however for short stays I prefer a B and B or guesthouse. I was up in Lerwick for a quick work stopover. The Eddlewood proved to be good choice. Great position in Lerwick, friendly, warm and clean. If I was to find fault, no parking, but there is a car park close by and that...

Host was friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations: Steak House & Lerwick Hotel - both excellent and within walking distance. She also described a short cut to walk downtown. 38 steps to rooms on 2nd floor. Room had queen bed and single bed. Modern bath, quiet at night, view from attic window. Single bed not very firm. Full breakfast in...

Our twin room was cramped, one arm chair and very uncomfortable dining chair with thin cushion. Shower over the bath,no hand rail,as I'm elderly I had to be helped out of the bath, very dangerous!! Disposable plastic cups in bathroom, ghastly! Cheap biscuits on tea tray. The bedding and towels need to be replaced. Fresh fruit consisted of TWO bananas at breakfast, the sugar...

I was fortunate to stay in the family room as a solo traveller in August. I was greeted by the proprietor, Steve, and the housekeeper Aileen who both made me feel very welcome - Aileen, who seems to work nine times to the dozen was one of the friendliest people I met all week in Lerwick. The room was spotless...

Came here to perform a show. Getting good places to stay is crucial. This place was excellent. Even gave us their garage to wash and dry our costumes. Friendly and informative. With a lovely vibe and a wonderful staff! Really homely folk and Lerwick was a great place as a base. Enjoy!

We had two different rooms here, and both were delightful, with great views of the town and water. Rooms were very comfortable, hosts were lovely and very helpful, and breakfasts very good. Great place to stay.

Exactly as described! Family run, clean comfortable B&B near Lerwick town centre. Easy to find and on-street parking nearby. Good shower (important for Shetland weather). Lovely, helpful, accommodating staff. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

I had a 5 night stay with Steve at the above venue. I could not find fault with any part of my stay there. From my top floor room (room 5) you have a sea view. The room was spotless and roomy, with a lovely shower, and e recommended a couple of local restaurants and a local pub all within...

We had a very good stay here. The room was small, but nicely decorated. The shower was above average. The location can be a bit noisy (yet, rush hour in Lerwick doesn't compare to other places), but is ideal for short walks into town. With a car it's a good starting point to explore Mainland Shetland. We enjoyed our stay,...
