Stayed for 5 days after visiting Fair Isle. We were lucky to get the Chalet, good beds and a well equipted kitchen. Not to mention Maureen, discrete, charming, good cooking. She pointed out a lot of places of interest, and we luckily followed her excellent advises. Thank you Maureen, hope to see you again😊 Love Stig & Marit Bergen Norway

The owners Maureen and Robbie Smith have 26 years first running a 8-bedroom guest house and now a B&B with 2 rooms and a chalet. The Smiths are very friendly, thoughtful hosts both from Shetland. Maureen offered to lend me waterproof trousers to watch "Up Helly Aa" procession (Shetland's annual fire festival). Our room is neat and tidy, warm and... More

My wife and I spent over a week at Arisdale as part of Shetland's wool week festival. Maureen, our host was simply fabulous. The only way I could describe her is as a lovely aunt who catered to each and every one of our needs, including laundry. She simply goes above and beyond. The only fault I could find is... More

We stayed for a week in the chalet at Arisdale on a B&B basis. The privacy of the chalet with the convenience of B&B. The chalet with its sitting room and fully equipped kitchen provided all we could ask for. Maureen could not have done more for us, even to a willingness to take our washing in if it rained!... My wife and i have recently returned from a short break in Lerwick. We stayed with Maureen and Robbie who welcomed us most warmly. We had scrummy breakfasts and evening meals all home made by Maureen. The room was perfect for a couple. Clean, comfortable and well presented. Robbie told us great stories and we look forward to returning one... More

A perfect place to stay for a few nights in Lerwick, with just a quick walk into town. We stayed in the chalet and had a whole little house to ourselves. Would be great for longer stays. Nice and coimfortable, and Maureen was a cheery and helpful hostess.

I have been a guest of Maureen many times, nothing is a problem. When it is time to leave I always feel I could have stayed longer. Looking forward to my next visit.

Maureen is an excellent, warm and friendly hostess and very helpful - booked a ferry for us and even lent some warm clothing! Accommodation was clean and comfortable and a good choice for breakfast. 5 minute walk into town. Recommended.
