I stayed here for 4 nights on business. Friendly staff and very good service. Lounge bar decoration is nice if a little dated. The main areas of the hotel need to be updated as the wallpaper had been badly repaired and floor coverings worn. The bedroom I was in was over the kitchen and next to the laundry which made...

I was in this hotel for 5 nights, and I've found really nice. My room, clean and confortable, even if seems be back in 70's, had a view on the bay. Bathroom perfect, new. All people managing the hotel were nice and supporting. If I'll be back to Shetland I want be back here.

This hotel is back to the basics of friendly welcoming staff, excellent bedrooms and superb food. The girls there could not have been more helpful, polite and efficient. Well located close to town and would highly recommend. How a hotel should be run.

Arrived straight from the ferry and got an early checkin.. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. Our room facing the sea was bright and spotless and serviced fully everyday. Breakfast was a delight and dinner in the dining room was first class. I tried to find something negative to say but can't. Jane and all her staff were friendly...

There was a lot of condensation on the windows of our room but the view was wonderful once we struggled to open the windows and clear the glass [double glazing would be an asset!]. But the room was comfortable and the bathroom swish. There were a couple of lounges and the dining, bar and breakfast area was very pleasant. The...

Spent five days here exploring Shetland . Lerwick makes a good base and has useful urban amenities. Very good location , only a few minutes walk from the town centre Theres plenty of car parking space. It's a traditional hotel , though our room had an ultra modern bathroom and a pleasant view over the harbour. Staff were pleasant ,...

This hotel has a strange mix in its environment; old and tired corridors and a dated bedroom (for us) but then a beautiful and recently upgraded bathroom. The public areas are similarly dated in their décor. Breakfast was cooked to order and satisfactory within being special. Nicely situated with an easy walk to the water and centre of Lerwick.

Dropped in here one early evening for a bar supper. Strangely there is something of a shortage of stand alone restaurants in Shetlands, so three of our four dinners were spent in hotel restaurants. All were good. This one took a bit of finding - up a narrow road alongside the harbour but well worth the effort. There was no-one...

Really great hotel, centrally located, five minute walk from market cross. Friendly people and great breakfast. Spent our only night on the Shetlands there. A must see destination for adventure travelers. Rooms where very large and modern bathrooms. Bar looked great but didn't get a drink there.

Just finished lovely stay here. Great location, nice room. Particularly appreciated Jane the manageress who has been mentioned in previous reviews; she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to help make our holiday go well. A real pro!
