Really enjoyed my stay here over the summer - Albert and Aileen were welcoming and chatty whenever I saw them, and made a fantastic cooked breakfast to serve in their conservatory. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and in good condition. It was excellent value and would be a good base for exploring the area. Meant to...

This turned out to be a perfect location for us and our Orkney Island explorations. The proprietors are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. The guest house is on a quiet street but an easy walk to downtown. Breakfast was great and the room, very comfortable with an excellent bathroom.

We stayed in a number of B & Bs in the Islands and the Highlands of Scotland. Many were lovely, but Karrawa can't be beat. The rooms are large, clean and modern, breakfast is served in a lovely sunroom and Albert helped us immensely with our mixed-up travel arrangements. He even mailed some left-behind clothing to us! The center of...

We really enjoyed our stay at Karrawa. Cozy rooms, friendly staff/owners and great breakfast. It would be hard to find anything to be critical about. The only thing to be aware of is that it is a little out of town so a car or bike would be useful.

Friendly. , clean and nice room. Only slight niggle was the early time for breakfast , but then we did go for the rock festival. They sorted us a hire car and were helpful in every way. Far enough away from town centre but not too far.

We received a warm welcome and our room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfasts of our choice all beautifully cooked and served. Guidance on places of interest and how to book ferries were much appreciated. The location suited us, a nice 20 minute walk to the centre of Kirkwall.

Best Bed and Breakfast ever, very comfortable and clean. Being Orcadians they always pointed us in the correct routes and never seemed to be any trouble for them to do so. A wee bit from the centre of town, but by car only a couple of minutes

They were so great I can't even enumerate all the things. Room was great, breakfast was great, they even helped get us ferry reservations to go to Hoy. The place was very close to downtown and they had great suggestions about eating places.
