Lovely couple running a remote guest house in the Cheshire shires. I'm not too keen on sitting in someone's lounge but that's guest houses for you. Nice selection of books and mags to read.....if that's what you want. I mistakenly opted for a single room with private bathroom diagonally across corridor. At my age, with 3 visits per night, I... Thank you for your review and for the many favourable observations about our property. We are sorry you didn't enjoy your stay as much as we would have wished. The guest lounge is solely for guests to use and has a selection of books and magazines for guest's enjoyment as well as a flat screen TV and a piano, which... More

This lovely old house is tall and beautiful in a very peaceful location. We turned up late at night forgetting to warn our hosts and the gentleman sat up waiting for us, thankyou. It was a real delight after the previous place we had stayed at. This jewel of a house was so beautiful decorated and furnished in a style... More

The company I work for has recently moved its office location very close to Pickmere Country Guest House and me and a few colleagues were booked in here for two nights for our annual meeting. I was, quite literally, greeted on arrival by the family dog who after giving him a quick pat on the head, turned to the reception... More

Lovely location, lovely greeting, lovely rooms, lovely breakfast, lovely chef. An absolute gem would definitely recommend. Super tea selections in room and great for vegetarians. If you want old school hospitality in a lovely converted farmhouse this is a must stop. Walking distance to pub isn't bad either.

We are a family of 6 and our stay at Pickmere Country House was 9.9/10. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast homemade, healthy and delicious. If the free WiFi had been a little quicker it would have benn 10/10. The local pub had a great selection of reasonably priced delicios homemade food and some great local ales. Well... More

Nice greeting, great room, good wi-fi, good food for breakfast. Comfy bed and well furnished room. Easy to find and park. Nice 1 min walk to restaurant on the corner. But food on site looked like it would be a good option.

Massive room. Very comfy bed with quality linen. Fabulous power shower. Great breakfasts and a lovely lounge with an excellent selection of reading matter. Hosts were lovely and so is Monty the dog. Handy for Knutsford, Chester and other local attractions like Tatton Park. Only grip was small TV with very few channels.
