I’ve got on flights quicker than the check in for this hotel (also the breakfast was cold, there were no seats, and I’m pretty sure the whole hotel is run by 2 people) No idea what we got for £100 other than a crap room, awful breakfast and poor service
Large room and bathroom. However, no plug for a bath, then when we did get one the water was luke warm, no remote for TV, then when they did find us one there was no signal. Towels were crispy and certainly didn't smell fresh. But the bed was clean and comfortable, nice location
Lovely clean hotel, reception staff very friendly and welcoming. Food is excellent, they may seem short staffed in the restaurant, but this does affect the service, they work really hard. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in this area
Disappointed with our shower/toilet room as it was clear glass which gives you no privacy from your partner when you are on the toilet. Also at breakfast we were not told to help ourselves and neither were another couple there and also there was no toast. Our two visits to reception had no staff there and no bell to ring to let them know you needed assistance.
Despite phoning the hotel to confirm that EV points were available on arrival was told they were old and didn’t always work with new vehicles - correct they didn’t work on Tesla. Had to travel to a Tesco and spend 2.5hrs charging only to return to the hotel to find I had missed restaurant times by 5 mins! On a positive the room and bathroom were good.
We stayed here while attending a wedding reception close by. On arriving the hotel is so pretty. The reception was efficient and we were very lucky to be put in a ground floor room where there were double opening doors to a little garden. It was a beautiful day so it was lovely to have the doors open. The room was very good. The only thing I would say was the pillows weren't very comfy. A good one night stay though.
I found their website, see the title" EXCELLENT AND DOG FRIENDLY - JANUARY 2022". Make plans to reserve a room. Website payment doesn't work so I call to make reservation. During the conversation I mentioned my small dog and come to find out the large room I'm trying to reserve is not "dog friendly". There is nothing on their website about "only some rooms" being dog friendly, not even a fine print...
Despite being told room avaliable from 3pm arrived after 5hr drive at 3.15 to find room still being cleaned !! Was asked when checking in if we were eating in dining room tonight said yes asked for time ! When we arrived at dining room at 7 we were told we weren’t booked in !! Found us room in dining room but !!!! Tv didn’t work in room no tissues in box in bathroom even after room serviced after first night !! Window catch broken !! All in all very poor attention to detail. Then when we went to Chevy out bill didn’t seem right so asked for invoice noticed we had not been charged for dinner “oh sorry our cash register not working “ !! “ could we remember what we had eaten “ !!! Not a place I would use again.
For £14 I would expect better from an established business that the quorum grange hotel is. Portion size for the price is outrageous and standard of food is not good., chips were raw and the taco not tacos were cold, I would understand if standards were to drop of the hotel was business but we were the only people eating in the restaurant.
Firstly I should say that I did write directly to the hotel GM before this review. She passed it to the Ops manager who offered a free night as compensation! I declined as I have no reason to go back for a single night! The Hotel as you flee I’ve in looks fine, when you go in it is tired, grubby and looks like a care home! I checked in and was told where my room was so I went upstairs to find the world hottest room. Stains on the bed sheets, radiator not working properly the TV not working and the the cardinal sin NO BISCUITS! I told reception about the TV the next morning and was told it would be sorted! They didn’t sort it! Thankfully I had my iPad with me! I asked if I may have some biscuits for my room and was told they have none! Only minutes earlier my aunt had been given “a handful” by housekeeping! So reception lied! The staff in general are poor and badly trained! We went for breakfast and there was only a couple of table that had been cleared, when we asked for toast it came but toasted on one side and thrown at the table like it was an inconvenience. The staff just lean around and want to finish their chats before interacting with guests! The breakfast was a “hot” buffet that consisted of cold sausages, cold fried eggs, over cooked cold mushrooms and cold baked beans! I am shocked that the senior management clearly don’t see how poor they really are at operating what was once a wonderful hotel. I did reply to the Ops manager explaining my position but they haven’t bothered to respond. For what they charge per night and for breakfast they should be ashamed given what you can get for the same price. I wouldn’t bother looking at the website either as it is very misrepresented.…
