Pleasant and friendly staff, nice building and rooms were a good size with a lovely Queen bed. Quiet location near village centre. TV signal was poor with picture and sound distortion. Bathroom had shower curtain instead of screen. Breakfast was not a great experience - the order service would be better if it was buffet style. The main negative point... More

Meant as a treat for one night but what a sad place. The opportunities to be stunning are endless but it lacks a leader to deal with finishing touches. Outside reception not swept ( where smokers stand!) dog ends were in abundance. Dirty carpets on approach to room. In room curtain off rails, bathroom door did not stay closed, mould around... More

I was a little apprehensive staying here due to the negative comments about rooms. Our room was large, comfortable bed, overlooking the garden. Bathroom was clean and tidy, air con worked well. Room was cleaned every day. Staff on reception were very accommodating when I asked for extra tea and coffee supplies. For the price we paid it was value... More

On arriving the receptionist was welcoming and efficient but the hotel seemed jaded. My room was at the end of a corridor with dirty carpets and there had clearly been a leak in the ceiling as there were two containers and a small warning A board. The room was okay, the bed hard. Breakfast was poorly staffed, the willing waitress... More

The afternoon tea was nice, but the place is tired, shabby looking and dirty, Dust and cobwebs in the window sill where we were sitting, Toilets dirty and the doors and skirting boards were thick with dust.We arrived to be seated around tables which had been used for afternoon tea and when we left the same dirty pots were still there,...
