Just got home from a 2 night stay in loughborough for work with a colleague of mine. We stayed with Derek and Les in this beautiful victorian building and had a comfortable stay. The beds are super soft and comfortable - possibly the comfiest bed I have ever stayed in away from home. Breakfast is cooked well and served by... More

If you're looking for that little bit extra and make your visit to Loughbourgh something to remember then book into Holywell House. The accommodation is truly memorable and thanks go to Derek and Les for creating such a friendly and comfortable place to stay. Each bedroom is furnished differently and to a very high standard. The included breakfast is very... More

We came across this great Guest House by accident but we were really lucky as it is lovely. Beautifully restored old vicarage with antique and vintage furniture and fittings. Nice comfy room with a wet room to die for. Smashing freshly cooked breakfast. The hosts, Derek & Let, were so nice and nothing was too much trouble. Certainly would come... More

As you park your car in the designated car park and notice the shrubbery that appears to have been meticulously shaped with nail scissors you realise you're somewhere special. Our friendly host Derek handled our check-in easily and quickly despite the fact that he was not expecting my wife on this trip! My office had booked a double room but... More

A late booking due to a flood at my booked hotel proved to be a good find. Well positioned, car parking, clean, well appointed. Lovely helpful staff and a lovely breakfast. Hotel close to university and town centre.

I'm in Loughborough for 3 nights most weeks at the moment, and Lez and Derek's extremely comfortable and well-run place is definitely my favourite. Some decor is a bit OTT for my taste, but it's all impeccably kept, breakfast is great, welcome friendly and efficient, location perfect, and excellent value. A heartwarming change from the soulless robotic efficiency of Travelodge... More

Took our American friends for overnight stay when revisiting our former home town. Lez and Derek run a unique B&B in a marvellous Victorian building full of wonderful objects they gave collected to furnish it plus many theatrical and musical pieces memorabilia. Bedrooms comfortable and quirky. Breakfast personally prepared and delicious. The Americans thought it a fabulous stay. The B&B... More

My husband and I have just stayed for 2 nights, and I must say we have had a great comfortable stay. The room was just the right size for 2 and the bathroom was huge. Lovely and clean fresh towels and linen daily. Breakfast was wonderful with a selection of cereals, toast, juice, yogurts and a menu of full English... More

Great location. Wonderful furniture. This is no premier inn. Supreme breakfast, Weather was very warm (most unusual). This is not a building equipped for such unusually hot weather although a fan was provided. Wifi good and easy parking. The hosts are silver service. My private bathroom was physically separate from the bedroom. But all worked fine.

We spent six nights at Holywell Guest House to attend a family wedding. It was our first visit and we were astonished at the attention to detail and comfort provided. But the prevailing atmosphere was relaxing and very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners could not have been more entertaining and charming. Will never stay anywhere else... More
